All the focus is on the new stadium as I guess that's the real cash cow. But the football side has been stinking up the joint for far too long.

Money wise, I don't complain. But the choices for upper management and alleged vanity signings (if true) such as Iwobi are pathetic. Needs a real football expert to advise - there must be someone who can do that.
I'm sure there are many football experts who could advise. Whether or not they're wanted and would be listened to is an entirely different matter.

Difficult to say about the financial side, though. Unless the club goes into administration, you'll only know moshiri's true intentions when he sells up. There's nothing to say he won't try and claw any money back that he has invested from his own coffers.
A fair point, and I don't doubt Moshiri will one day want a return on his investment (not too many billionaire businessmen don't), but I also don't believe it's just about money for Moshiri. He's put his money where his mouth is to the tune of about £400m (albeit largely wasted by himself and other people), partly funding the new stadium to maybe another £100m; he's not been afraid to pay compensation and big wages to bring in the likes of Koeman and Ancelotti, and he's not been afraid pay compensation to boot out managers like Martinez and Allardyce. Hard to predict the future of course, but I cannot see Moshiri asset-stripping the club or having a firesale just to get back as much money as he can because he's bored or wants out.

Blame the fraud that offered him a new contract. Absolutely no reason for it, it wasn’t merited in the slightest. Just more of our club’s money and the fans’ season ticket fees (which are going up again) being funnelled into the pockets of Moshiri’s mates.

Can’t believe people will actually sit there with a straight face and try and tell me that we’ve ended up with the good billionaire in the world, the one that has all our interests at heart. GTF right now. Get this man out of our club before it’s too late and you wish you’d done something.

Who replaced Moshirei though Mike ? Who in his right mind would, he's three over £400m of his own money into the club and we've gone backwards, so whose the next sucker ? His heart is no the right place, but his head doesn't appear to be, I'll agree on that.

2. Why does every new manager have to keep Ferguson and Unsworth.

Do not think this would happen at any other club and until resolved don't think much else will be
Not so sure about this. Plenty of clubs keep their ex players on as coaching staff. Unsworth seems content to manage the youth squad and Big Dunc seems content to be an assistant. (Plus of course, the optics. Not sure any incoming manager or owner particularly wants the PR of sacking the legends when its easier to keep them on at the side).

People in here blaming Moshiri for Saturday.

There are some proper bored, angry, irrational people in this thread.

Everyone knows the reason we lost on Saturday is because we laughed at Josh King and there are STILL Evertonians out there who don't understand that banter, goading and gloating does not end well for us. If it takes you longer than a couple of seasons to figure this out, you have not been paying attention, or you are willfully ignorant. Some of those who have been following for decades and still haven't twigged need to remove their heads from wherever it they are buried and learn the lesson.

Do not tempt fate when it comes to Everton. Simple.

And while we are at it, on another superstsious note, Seamus Coleman: if you are going to remain captain, learn when to lead the players out. You've only been here 12 years. It's ridiculous that I even have to say it.

No.

I am not pleased with what has happened on the pitch but he had provided more than enough chances and money for managers to get it right.

I think he needs to look internally at his board and appointment a chairman who is more akin to the modern game like Bruce Buck at Chelsea who has been a revelation for them.

Currently our board is:
Kenwright - Chairman
Denise Barrett-Baxendale - Director
Marcel Brands - Director
Sarvar Ismailov - Director
Grant Ingles - Director

We should be asking Kenwright to step down with a view to finding a business person who will be integral to the next decade and not a previous owner who is past his best.

Brands should never be on that board because surely his role as Director of Football is conflict of interest to the board. He should be in charge of the managerial and technical aspects of our first team and academy.

I think after Carlo's departure, the board had taken their eye of the pitch and presented the eggs in the basket which is the stadium. I believe Benitez will be here at least until the end of the season unless dramatic results like Saturday continue but after 9 games bar Watford, we have done well considering the key injuries.

I blame him for how we've ended up in a position where we get spanked at home by relegation fodder.

Let me ask you this... Moshiri has been owner of Everton for over 5 years. What is Everton's identity?
