I wonder if the sacking of Brands was purely just an ego thing after Brands "Is it just the players?" comment made it clear what he thought of Moshiri's decision to bring Benitez in.

Very strange turnaround after giving him a 3 year contract months ago and then apparently letting Benitez do his job.

What is Moshiri playing at?
He’s playing at owning a football but his grasp of the realities of such a responsibility is tenuous to say the least.
He’s failing big time.

We've been through two directors of football in Steve Walsh and Marcel Brands, and five managers in Ronald Koeman, Sam Allardyce, Marco Silva, Carlo Ancelotti and Rafael Benitez. Out of all that lot, Ancelotti was the only decent appointment, but he walked out on us sadly.

But five years two directors of football and five managers, millions spent on players, with the end result being Everton as of now, being closer to the championship than the european places. It's blatantly obvious that this fella is clueless. The Farhad Moshiri era at Everton, has been a total and utter disaster.

Let's not give the fraud any more air time.

Was given £55.5 million to bring in 1-2 solid CM's and he signs Gomes, Delph & Gbamin.

Given £27 million to sign a CF and signs a sulky teenager with a discipline problem.

Given £34 million to find a pacey wide player and ends up with Iwobi.

Misses out on Zouma/Gabriel then signs Godfrey.

Doesn't replace Coleman 3 years on.

An absolute failure of a DOF.
Not a Brands apologist and he's one of many who should be binned (not the first for me, but ho hum), that being said:

Very few here were upset at Gomes' signing after his loan stint with us
Delph - dodgy AF and a terrible signing
Gblammo - I don't think anyone in football would have guessed at a 23 year old missing a full 2 years of football due to a succession of horrendous injuries

Moise Kean is a decent striker signed at a decent price given his age and history, with sell-on value. He was utter pony in the prem but we didn't make a loss on him and it could have very well worked out much better. It didn't but we're not gonna Bolasie or Gylfi on him.

Iwobi was a Moshiri signing.

Zouma originally stayed at Chelsea and played a lot of the next two seasons including in the Champions League. Can't compete reasonably with that.

Gabriel - once Arsenal were in for him we were dead in the water

Coleman - an absolute long standing joke

I count that as a Coleman and Delph debacle and the rest being reasonable failures given prevailing feelings or at the time player alternatives or him being overrules by Moshiri, the clown.
