If he's to do that then the attitude of the support has to change dramatically. Acceptance of mid-table finishes at best. I doubt we're there yet.
We can be realistic but acceptance? I NEVER accept an Everton defeat. There is no point anyone turning up with that attitude, Manager, player, fan.

Its another club that's well ran, big ambition , good recruitment, money to spend and a history similar to ours.

Well ran?

Their about to sign a 28 soon to be 29 year old declining player on a 4 and a half year deal on £160kpw.They'll be trying to get rid of him in 18-24 months.

Then They'll probably sign Coutinho on a stupid wedge as well as the fact they've signed 29 year old cheese string knees Danny Ings on £120kpw.

Can you please explain to me where this notion that villa are this well run club?

Because it looks to me like they are doing exactly what we did 5 years ago.

In fact I'd argue that if the rolls were reserved and we were buying villas 28 year old LB and villa had reportedly used that money to buy two highly rated fullbacks to improve their team we'd be pulling our hair out and saying "why aren't we doing that instead of buying someone's crap".

Then why has he not gone, because his boss is too clueless and not ruthless enough to get rid, same with the appointments to the board. The buck ultimately stops with Mr Farhad

Who knows Kenwrights a sly fox God knows what's in the terms of the clubs sale.

All I know is Moshiri has tried his best and has put a lot of dough into the club / building us a new stadium.

As someone who believes in giving someone a 2nd chance I forgive Mosh for his first few years of governance.

Onwards and upwards!

They haven't signed him yet, but if they do he fits their system perfectly and won't be exposed every game.

Villa have a good blend of youth and experience, with pace all over and everyone working in partnerships.

Add a few touches of quality and that could take them forward at our expense.

They have made more progress in two seasons than we have in about 6, you can't do that if you're not well ran.

Whats this perfect system they play?

Villa are such a well run club with such a fantastic blend of youth and experience with pace and partnerships all over the pitch, yet they are 3 points above us having played one more game then us while we're in our worst run of form ever. They were a one player team and they've sold that player and not reinvested the money very wisely by the looks of it.

What progress is this? Getting promoted into the Premier league and Bearley surving by one point then finishing below us both times.

Let's see where everyone is at the end of the season before we wet our pants.

League finishes under Moshiri: 8th, 8th, 10th, 12th.

Not perfect but hardly the constant relegation scraps some of our melodramatic fans make out.

Walsh and Brands have set us back years - thankfully the signings of Patterson, Gray & Mykolenko suggest we are learning from our mistakes and signing hungry younger players.
Are those numbers trending towards the top of the league or the bottom? 8th, 8th, 10th, 12th, what number comes next, do you think? And then the one after that?

No not really

Did James see Qatar as a step forward?

Did Bernard see the UAE as a step forward?

They were forced out of the club, like Digne is.
