So we need to wait until Monday, what the hell is this, the post office!

A decent owner would make swift and decisive decisions and not make frustrated fans wait. In fact a decent owner would have seen the writing on the wall and already had a backup and replacement sounded out. There are of course people that could argue a decent owner would never have appointed such a divisive character at this club in the first place. Especially when they knew the job would take some time and need the fans onboard.
Legalities, you can announce a sacking at any time but the paperwork and stuff can’t be processed until Monday as no solicitors are open at weekends

This has to be the end of the last 5 years of dross, he has to get people around him who know how to run a football club. It's quite obvious he can't run a club, please let football people run the club and use himself and his people to run the business side of it .

All three current board members need to replaced as soon as practical in this respect. And whoever the new manager is needs carte Blanche to remove all backroom staff. Aside from the ex players boys club that has been done to death here, it is mystifying how Alan Kelly has ended up in such a prominent position on our bench.

Bang average keeper who left the Irish managerial setup under a cloud also. Get them all out.

My biggest worry is that his biggest mistake is his most recent.

Hiring Benitez, and allowing him to tear down the football hierarchy at the club to remould in his own image, in the middle of a catastrophic run of form that he sacks him for within weeks, is just insane.

Moshiri’s tenure has been the most tumultuous period in Everton’s history. Bad appointments coupled with bad recruitment have made the club unstable and probably unattractive to the sort of manager we want to attract. Moshiri wanted a shortcut to success and spent stupid money on average players, leaving us with a shattered squad.

We are probably one of the hardest jobs in football. Realistically the manager is aiming between 10th and 7th with the team available, but the fans want more. However, lose a few and fall outside that band and they are dead men walking. Our margin for error is small because a poor season puts us in a relegation battle, something simply not the case with Arsenal or Spurs say.

We desperately need a period of stability and consolidation everyone knows it. It is the only way we will ever break out our this loop we’re stuck in.

Let’s hope they pick a manager we can all get behind for a good few years.

Hoping for:
Sacking the entire board and replacing them with experienced footballing people
Hire experienced commercial directors and improve our revenue away from USM businesses
Implement a dedicated 5 year football plan, with sole focus on development and bridging the gap between u23 and first team

What I’ll get:
A text message to Jim White and appointing another washed up has been

Graeme Sharp has just been appointed to the board. Why do people suddenly think he’s going to “get the football side of the club sorted”?
