We sacked manager after manager and ran around like headless chickens; the most basic principle of the game.

We don’t have relegation clauses in the contracts, so players will be picking up £100k plus in the championship we can’t shift them.

Relegation could actually be the end of this club for the next 20-25 years

Where we are now is a culmination of all the chickens coming home to roost at once! Poor managerial recruitment, different playing styles leading to a total lack of joined upped thinking on what has been poor player recruitment! Long term expensive contracts given to those poor players - barely one of whom actually gives a toss for the club! All culminating ending up with his absolutely bizarre decision to appoint Benitez!

Lerner seemed a solid owner tbf until the banks went belly up which affected his business and then it went badly downhill. Villa were consistently around the European places with Moyes's Everton and had built a good side under O'Neill who was well backed.

They spent a lot of money on players who weren't great. As soon as they stopped spending they got relegated,, which is what looks like happening to us
