will it help if I report it?
will it help if I report it?
happy to helpIt's tipped the balance tbh
Yes that was my initial take on it. If the council gives us WHP for free then put your money on it, as much as I hope he gives a Goodison redevelopment the serious consideration it deserves. From the statement he made in the program today, the words that stood out the most to me were these:
"Goodison Park has served the club extremely well but..."
So we're moving then?
I'm not against moving, but only if the place we build has all the Goodison-Parkiness of my beloved Goodison.
People always say new grounds are "soulless" but that's not true. The Reebok, yes. Etihad, yes. Emirates, yes. But look at the King Power in Leicester. The exact same blueprints copied from the St Mary's Stadium in Southampton and yet they have turned that place into a fortress, and recently caused an earthquake.
Let's do that please

Without trying to move away from the topic because we already have a stadium one
With the way we play with pace and width we could probably do with a wider playing surface, but we're not going to be like that for the rest of time so that would be pointless.
those stadiums are souless because the fans are nowhere near the pitch - we can definitely move and not lose that aspect if the right designwork is carried out.
I believe he has made a video pregame which will be aired on EvertonTV sometime soon? Should be interesting.Back on topic...
Moshiri can only have been delighted at what he's joined after today's game. His statement in the program was very positive. The fact he mentioned that we were the first club to print a regular matchday program was a nice (and subtle) point to make, showing he has bothered to learn about, and cares about, our history.
Obviously he can't parade around town in retro 1985 shirt with "I 8 Kopites" on the back, but I think he was trying to say "I'm one of you now".
He'll know that keeping the big-money axis of Stones-Barkley-Lukaku is pretty much priority number one.
Next, he's already talking summer transfers and stadium builds. He could have been shy and said "Hi, I love Everton, thanks for having me". But he actually stated some intent in that message. I get the impression he is a man who gets things done.
I cannot wait to see what he does. And I won't have to watch SSN deadline day from behind the sofa this year, that's a bonus in itself
I'm trying to stay calm but I'm really, really, excited!

He's sorted us out here.
Moshiri is going to do the biz, the young lads will be on mega long contracts before the season ends.
