Tbh I was under the impression that any takeover was on back burner pending our season placing.

He may have lowered price. He's sacked Lampard as a roll of the dice.

PL football protects his investment.

No point committing to large liabilities in terms of players if we go down. First rule of accountancy is being prudent.

but if we’re selling mate ( say gordon etc )

is that for his pocket? we have no manager to say i want him etc to stay up

so he’s risking us going down either way

sell the club with a few days left in a window with no new manager

this really is a gamble

Another thing that makes that interview seem strange is that the person who filmed it didn’t use the 180 degree rule.

Both the interviewer and Moshiri face the right of frame. So it doesn’t feel like they are looking at each other.

I’m assuming you are skint with that plan, if any potential owner waits a while they can pick us up for a song when relegated and then work at getting us up. Why buy us now for full price when we are sinking.
Well, the only plausible reason would be to avoid getting gazumped like we were with Danjuma. Sure, we'll go cheaper, in all likelihood, in the Championship, but somebody else might nip in in the meantime.

Nah, me neither.

It may be he's being sold to then provide funds to new manager leaving the club in a position of being financially not worse off.

Let's face it, it was Thelwell behind the camera.

Within the middle East its common for an investment to be in something at a low price with intention of improving it by throwing money at it.
A lot of politics means neighbouring or rival organisations want to improve on their rival so throw money at it.

Also have to factor in if Usmanov really is the real money man him/Putin will have links to money men / political bodies in China/Middle East.

Man Citys former owner was a political associate of the Abu Dhabi group.
