The video that the Mail is using as their source for Everton not actually being for sale was recorded last week though. The Guardian article came out tonight. Something may have changed in that timeframe.

The Guardian have pretty much put a clickbait title for their article.

If you read the actual article it states Moshiri's open to either a full sale or selling a minority stake so hedging their bets.

The interview with Moshiri prior to the WHU alludes to selling a stake to an investor to help with the stadium funding and in his words bring football/business knowledge to the club.

You would think any new investor would want to get a deal done before the TW deadline in order to try help get 1-2 players in the door to help in the relegation battle.

An interesting week ahead.

He literally said the stadium project is the most successful part of the club currently. Whilst I thank him for the investment and it looks nice, I need to remind him we are a football club not a construction business and are currently rooted to the bottom of the table!!!! You and the board have failed commercially, financially and sporting wise no matter how many warm words you trot out!

It’s good to see that he’s admitting systemic problems at the club in player availability, recruitment and the academy.

Someone at Everton has also finally realised that if your best players keep getting crocked then you get less points and FFP kills you when they spend years on your treatment table and their value goes to very little (e.g Bolasie Gbamin Gomes Delph Walcott Tosun Doucoure)
