Good question. I suspect it's whether being built by the club (in the legal sense) or a separate financial vehicle associated with the club.

As the owner, I'd surmise that he could sell the club in parts, with the stadium being a separate entity. Yet, for a potential owner that would be far less appealing.
Yeah was just wondering that myself, was sure the stadium was set up as a separate entity. As you say though, we’re not a very attractive option without that included. Got a feeling we’re gonna be stuck with these jokers until it’s finished.

In my opinion there is no reason to cast doubt on anything that Brands infers in his comments. He will be on an NDA and yes he did not cover himself in glory, but his reputation in Holland appears to be intact so what would his motivation. during his tenure here, in the stand at the Derby he inferred back then it wasn’t all on the players. Many people assumed he was referring to Benitez, but I always thought he was referring to more than one individual.
People thought he was talking about Benitez because they didn't like him, but it was obvious he was talking about Moshiri, despite what some wish to believe we had issues before Rafael arrived

Sounds like a Coventry City situation

The stadium is owned by Everton Stadium Development Limited which in turn is owned by Everton Stadium Development Holdings Limited which is owned by Everton Football Club Company Limited.

I suspect both really, not sure if he was also referring to BK, as much as I love to vilify him (and rightly so)!

I can't really see that mate yet, however if relegation did happen I'd bet nothing is off the table. It'll be turmoil.
No I don't think it will come to administration either.
However if, as appears likely, we go down then it will be financial Armageddon and nothing would surprise me. I suspect he will sell the club at a discount price but retain the stadium development.

Up you know what creek without a paddle.

This is my concern:
Alternatively, the club could sell the stadium to an investor or property developer. The stadium has an asset value, it might be worth at least as much as it has cost to date – perhaps more than £400 million. It might be worth even more on the basis of what it would cost to construct the stadium at today’s prices. The new stadium owner would complete the construction and have Everton as its tenant.
The only real asset in the club will be the stadium, I can see this being sold and leased back.
