surely these massive deals cover that though. i’m no finance guru but if they’ve signed up dosh would of been paid regardless

Problem is the costs are reoccurring mate. We have a wage bill to meet, suppliers, deal obligations etc, they are all reoccurring as well as the ongoing infrastructure at BMD.

I believe the interest cost of the 600+ mill external debt is £1.2 mill a week.

like i say it’s just an opinion for me i haven’t a clue on finance…..can’t even shop within my means haha

also regarding the bottom comment mate they wouldn’t announce these deals should there not be money being made out of them in the here and now surely? if that’s not the case they might as well of waited until we actually go into the stadium next season.

that being said wouldn’t be surprised at all should this helmet is taking the money to repay the losses he’s made to his own bank balance and then letting the club go and looking like he’s done us a favour it’s all very weird at the moment as nobody knows what’s happening apart from him. i certainly don’t think wal knows anymore than we do it’s assumptions which have been wrong on multiple locations from reading it up

Devil is in the detail on the commercial deals mate, we’ve seen an uptake in the last 12 months, I make it about a 12 mill improvement annually on what we are getting.

Taking two bills, the wage bill rounded of is about 13 mill month and interest repayments about 5 mill a month, thats 18 mill a month - compare that to the new new sponsorship deals.

That just a couple of our bills.

Should be a bit better than last year as the stadium was on going, if we can believe the club (I know right) we have that boxed off now. We've massively cut the wage bill this summer and increased revenue. We might still be loss making at the moment, but it's different from this time last year when we needed to find another 150+m on top of everything to pay the builders.

Surely there’s a few lawnmowers we could sell

It’s defo moving the right direction mate.

The detail on the ground is sketchy it had been 15-20 mill a month LOR - not sure at all where it’s at and the club have never really supplied detail. As you know we will be kitting it out ourselves - so that’s a cost!

as was said on here by other posters I get the feeling Moshiri is stalling on the sale
Why I’m not sure but it’s looking like he doesn’t want to sell unless he’s left with no option
As was posted earlier maybe he’s waiting on someone who is prepared to work with Usmanov at a later date if that becomes feasible

It does depend if TFG loan covers those costs? Even if doesn't, to dress a shop, cafe, a restaurant and a few hospitality spaces would be at max one of those monthly costs we were paying out. As you say moving in the right direction.

If someone is willing to buy us and use their financial clout to structure our loans into one manageable repayment that would be even more beneficial.

You'd actually think banks would be falling over themselves to give us a way out if we are paying 50-60 million pounds pa in interest. They could still make a fortune cutting that in half.

I the TFG loans was just refinancing the MSP loan mate. Weirdly Moshiri took 20 mill from that.

Any takeover mate, will be all debt and refinance or debt, refinance and equity - we have to hope for the latter.

The banks don’t want to deal with Moshiri mate, he’s toxic because of his “association”, the other reason is they tend to lend when a construction project is finished as opposed to when it’s built for a distressed asset like the club - risk is to great given the fundamental of the business.

Think the kit out isn’t that insignificant mate, imagine it will be all new IT, office gear, finishing, furnishing, kitchens, bar fit out etc.

If I was a conspiracy theorist, I would suggest he's hedging on AU dying and him not having to pay any debts back.

Hard to say where exactly the money goes, we know around 160m was to repay the MSP and friends loan. There was another 40m there that TFG are attributing to help the stadium to be completed. Whether that's another tall tail and it was used to give MSP & co more back due to missed payments or at least delayed settlement you can never quite tell.

Looking at the latest videos it appears the kitchens are in, bars too. I would have thought they would do this for those areas too and it's more decoration than a completely blank page fit-out. Obviously that may differ for the some areas, for instance there appears to be nothing in the shop at the moment, but will that change before handover? Might, but perhaps not. I would hope 20 million should be more than enough!

Very true about the banks not wanting to deal with Moshiri.

That’s the whole organisation mate, £164 mill a year, we topped out at £182 mill in 2021.

We’ve budgeted for 15th down this season - 15th would get us close to revenue of £194 mill.
And info is hard to confirm, but averaging the information I can find, 1st team wages are down to about £55M(ish) from £77M(ish) last season. (Edit: £55 may be a bit soft. I can’t find any data on wage share on loans in our out. So it’s probably closer to £58M.)

That will reduce our wage to revenue ratio, but it’s the stadium costs and loan interest that are strangling us.

Without an owner making interest free loans to restructure most of the debt load, the future is frightening.
