He'd be non-exec Chairman, just like Bill has been. Bill's day job is his own business, it's never been Everton - that's not a slight on him, that's just reality.

I think even a part time non-exec Chairman like Dein can be x 10000000 more effective in 1 year than 'plucky little Everton' Bill Kenwright has been in 15 years

For the first time in a long time it feels that we have an actual plan of action of how to go about the running of the club.

It has always felt that we've just been living season to season without any real plan of how to improve it. Kind of like how people take out pay day loans to pay their rent and then wonder what they're going to do the next month.

Genuinely excited for what these next few years under Moshiri have to offer.

There's no formal engagement at present - Dein was an important part of Bill and Moshiri getting together, and clearly he (Dein) has a huge amount to offer, particularly on the stadium front.

There's a lot of activity at present at board level - stadium and new manager, plus financing. Dein would be a huge addition to the club assuming he is willing to take that responsibility. Without over-stating it, indications are good.

I mentioned Dein ages ago and it sounded like it was a resounding no in terms of him coming out of retirement for some sort of role with the club. Do we know whats changed with this?

Esk was Dein the director you where mentioning Moshiri was look gin to bring in?

Think he will be a massive move for the club if so!!

I can't see Dein as a board member, he's retired, I can maybe see him doing favours for two of his friends and helping with a new stadium project if they ask him, but long term I can't see him being on the board here.

.....although he's retired I doubt that Dein has been watching daytime telly and going the bingo for the last few years. He'll be in demand within the game and wider business for his expertise. Let's not forget that our current Chairman has still had his impresario 'day job' whilst he's been at EFC.

Being a board member doesn't mean sitting behind a desk at GP for 37 hours per week. Dein is supposed to be a close friend of Kenwright and instrumental in bringing Moshiri to the club, he might just be interested in the EFC 'project'.

Yes he is/was in demand in the game, Arsenal tried their best to keep him on board, he's refused many offers to get back involved in football from what I read about him ages ago.

Moshiri/Kenwright asking him to be involved short term in a new stadium project makes the best sense to me, I can't see he taking on a major role with a football club again, he's had those type of offers before.

Pretty depressing reading. The idea that Everton seem to have a plan, a vision and the means to carry them through....

No depending on handouts and favours, no ramshackle gratitude for atrocious partnership deals...

What is happening to our beloved plucky, punching above our weight at a glass ceiling with a knife to a gunfight mentality? What is happening?

Perhaps like some evil Dr Nefario of the togger world, da Mosh has a Petrie dish in which he is cultivating cajones?

Cool

Just been reading that that that Brian Gilvary joined the board of directors at Air Liquide earlier this year, so if he is to join it will probably be most likely as a non-exec director.
