Perhaps the thinking at Leeds is to lose 3-0 or 4-0 at Man City as opposed to 7-0 and 3-1 or 3-0 at Newcastle as opposed to potentially a 5-1 or 6-1. So he will potentially limit goal difference in those games but will need a win from West Ham or Tottenham to realistically have any chance. Even then it's unlikely imo.

Was chatting to a mate yesterday about what a crap appointment Gracia was. At least with Marsch there was the idea of him being young, progressive. He'd managed in the UCL etc. What is Gracia meant to be? Why wouldn't you have hired Allardyce then?
I think they did but their DoF wanted Gracia.

What people didnt notice is that they also fired the DoF (who also recruited Marsch) right before they fired Gracia.

He won't have enough time to inflict his painful methodology for Leeds it is a bizarre appointment but Big Samuel won't say no kerching 💰

Echoing a few others but this is a terrible appointment even short term

If Dyche was brought in as a short term fix it made sense because he’s worked with Tarkowski, Keane and McNeil before and we have a squad capable of playing his way

Leeds have played full blooded attacking football for years now and have a squad that can’t defend… this is a shocking idea which I’m delighted they’ve gone for

Bonkers appointment in my opinion, but interesting.

Mad really that Leeds and Leicester (and potentially Palace) have all appointed an inferior manager since pulling the trigger on who they started the season with.

I don't think we had anywhere else to fall under Lampard but it's good that we've significantly improved that aspect of our squad/coaching at least.

Not sure why people are even worried tbh. His last stint as Manager was 26 games, 4 wins, 7 draws, 15 losses which is a 15% win rate and a relegation. The fella he is replacing even had a 25% win rate.

Getting him in does the rest of us relegation fodder a favour.

If he gets the Leeds job, is this bad news for us?

It’s so hard to say, if he gets 4 points from 4 games he probably keeps them up, he’s done it in the past, but 4 games against Man City away, Newcastle home, West Ham away and Spurs home, that’s not a great set of fixtures on paper. I wouldn’t bet against him though.
The main thing will be, can he get them playing the way he wants them to in such a short space of time?
