Not a got a film I could say I love, but someone mentioned the Warriors, which was ace. Also liked Marathon Man, The Wanderers, Clockwork Orange, Trainspotting, Cannibal Holocaust, Island of Death, Blue Velvet and Goodfellas. Ther'll be more but I can't think of them.

No-one has mentioned Green Street yet

All the Spammers i know are supremely embarrased by that film. A geordie & a Hobbit leading the ICF. Probably my favourite comedy.

I've liked some of the recent German films: The Edukators, Sophie Scholl, Die Falscher, Requiem. The Germans do those meaningful stares so well. b)

Die Hard was good , but disappointed with the following Die hards , but there aint many " sequels" which have outshone the first film. IMO.

depends on what day it is. if i need a comedy, then 'my cousin vinny' has a lot to commend it. drama - 'unforgiven' cant beat a bit of old west brutality. scifi 'bladerunner' is still as fresh and imaginative as it was on (real) release even after twenty years. foreign language - 'la haine' 'pans labyrinth' 'oldboy' 'ring'. 'fight club' is still a good watch - cant believe thats 10 years old. and something with bill murray needs a mention, 'ghostbusters'. oh, and if you like car chases 'the french connection' is where modern film making was born.

today is wednesday.
