I personally feel this player could be a great signing for us. I do however feel that some people are waiting for him to fail before he even pulls on the Royal Blue jersey. Its not his fault that we are having to pay so much money for him, but I fully expect him to do the business and justify that fee.

Micknick your spot on and that was what I was saying last night. It was almost like peeps were like this - "Well didn't want him anyway", and it was almost childish. This guy will improve the squad and improve the team.

This is fantastic news. And I fully agree with mick and ghost that some people seem to be putting Yakubu down before he even kicks a ball for us, just because the market has dictated his price to skyrocket.
My gut feeling was he'd be a great signing, but after reading so much negativity from some people I began to have doubts. Now im back to my gut feeling, and Yakubu is a great signing.
