Just wrap up Manny, get in some other cover, such as Vogel and one more covering CB and we should be good.

COYB!

ill admit as someone who doesnt know much about the transfer process i was getting a little annoyed/nervous. but ill take this experience as a lesson in patience. will be great to see him on the field--hopefully sat (y)

You were the same as me Welts. But I am impressed we spent some money on quality. This is such a surprise in many ways I find myself pinching myself to make sure it's true. I am having a great day with the news myself. Now the more pressing need is "Manny Time" lets get this paperwork behind us and attack the season.(y)

I said the other day that I'm not really bothered either way. But I am pleased a fee has been agreed. He's a good goal scorer and could be awesome with AJ up front. Presuming he signs all we need now is Mani...

Not bothered either way? So your happy with AJ and Anichebe?

yes i'm excited too and it is a good sign that it appears he was practically insisting on Everton over others...

but i keep thinking that in some training room right now, Vaughn has a pack of ice on his shoulder and he's shaking his head.

Should of been signed ages ago, instead of making stupid bids for players we've got no chance of signing i.e lucho

Not sure I agree with the "We're mediocre" attitude there mate. We have almost signed Fernandes, apparently a great Portugese star. We have class in Arteta, AJ, Cahill, Baines. A sought after Nigerian centre back who is also their captain. US number one keeper. A great utility man in Jags. A 60 cap England man in Neville.

One of the longest serving premiership managers, Yakubu signing. A great academy.

Have a little more faith in your clubs standing in the world.

He won't be shaking his head. Competition is healthy, and if he doesn't like it, he will hate life in football. If anything he can use Yak to help develop his game and become a better player.

And Yak should insist on Everton. He Nigeria team/room mate is Yobo, and Anichebe is looking to be breaking into the Nigeria fold in the next year or so. Good place for a Nigerian to be.

I would still have Yakubu over Vaughan, but Vaughan is miles better than Victor, so I'm still happy.

Depends if you have been the victim of the odd fraud or two. If you have then you want to keep them at arms length. ;)

It could be the mother of all scams and Everton is about to go down the toilet. :)

Its not the stature of Efc i'm questioning, i know i support a great club with lots of history ...... its just i struggle to remember the last time we signed a super star who plays on the continent, who by some reports has top europian teams i.e. Real, Valencia and top italian teams chasing him. Didn't want to sound negative, just think i'm being realistic. We shouldn't have let manny go back to Benfica after his loan, in my opinion this kids going to be one of the best midfielders the prem. He shouldn't have been left as a last option after all else had failed. I presume this is the case anyway, i mean not even the blues couldn't drag a transfer on all close season and pre season :dodgy:
