Today is the day I expect we will hear early afternoon. There is no doubt that in the last two years he has not played in the Nigerian side for 75% of the games which is why it was kicked out last friday. Everton are basing their appeal on the fact that he has been playing in England for the last 5 years.

AS for goal scoring what were his figures for the last two seasons, anyone know?

£11.25m is a lot but hopefully his international feud continues so inst involved in the ANC and also lets really hope and pray he is 24 years old and not on some dodgy passsport that is a bit fuzzy about his real age.

I think he may well be after him, I would also take a gamble on Nugent at the price he's at he's gotta be worth a shot.

Disagree on the basis if Yak's appeal is succesful that is 11 mill spent do not need to go for another striker, need a midfielder. If Yak's appeal fails, which is unlikely then at 5/6 mill maybe for Nugent.

Well at 6 mill, youth on his side, could develop and would be cover for the other strikers. With the number of games coming up cover is just what we might need.

a friend of mine who lives up in the boro is crossing his fingers that the transfer goes through. he says all of the smoggies are desperate for our cash for the yak.

i really want the yak to come, but it makes me feel uneasy when lifelong boro fans are desperate to unload him. reminds me a bit of how i felt when we got rid of beattie!
