Feed the Yak and he will hold the ball up and let others into the game.. Erm..

Good point, except for the fact that even a fit Anichebe isn't very good and I have never been a fan of his. I think he is very one-dimensional and the only thing he really brings to the pitch is his strength. He had a couple of decent runs in the side, but really only ever performed in the UEFA cup. The only reason Anichebe should be in the side is when injuries force it.

Fair enough if you've never rated the lad, but the abuse Anichebe has taken since his return is actually verging on embarrassing. Kevin Nolans assault was actually feared to have jeopardised Anichebes career at one point. Weeks from his return I've heard fans call him a disgrace, pathetic, and it was just an eyebrow raiser to see you saying "flak should be aimed at Anichebe" on the back of a 5-1 win. Though, theres irony in there considering I've just said Yaks performance wasn't the best

I don't think fans should be so condemning to Anichebe.

Completely wrong, by fact, or your opinion?
What gives your opinion such weight to say that someone elses is completely wrong, when the facts show, that firstly Yak isn't scoring, yet only the hopes show, that he will begin scoring soon.

That's some statement Dylan. You should know better m8.

To be fair, it's been a running joke between me and chico for years that Yakubu exists to show up Everton fans for the amount who get on his back only to be shut up by a goal is amusing.

puts hand up*

That was me, that. Trying to steer the BB cat away from his ridiculous post there but he's hurt and throwing electronic haymakers all over the show.

GO YAKUBU!

I guess I should have worded myself better, so for that I apologize. I am ecstatic we thrashed them. I don't think anyone really deserves criticism, my point really was that if we are firing off shots about players, then maybe the person who should be subjected to it would, IMO, be Anichebe.

However, it isn't his fault he doesn't have the talent to keep up with the rest of the team. That would be Moyes's fault for playing him. But you can't fault Moyes's tactics here, we won 5-1 :)

It's boring to be honest, seeing utter numpties ripping into him every time he gets the ball, even when the ball isn't anywhere near him. The 'run Yak you fat ****' shout is one of the most used in the ground, even when he isn't on the pitch, or so it seems. He's an easy target given him style of play, that's the way it'll always be, sadly.

He has to score to get credit, everyone turns a blind eye to his ability to hold up the ball and link the play. Usually because they haven't got a clue about the game they are watching.

You're saying all this "we dont play hoof ball anymore, he's not needed" blah blah without even thinking about...

a) Who's you get that's better, on the cheap, and will get you 20+ nailed on for that cash (so a good record is worthwhile).
b) Options. The hoof is needed sometimes. What about a 4-4-2? Or going 4-3-3?
c) Yak has played about 4 full 90minutes. Scored twice, set up a few too. So he's not that [Poor language removed].
d) Injuries. Minus the bad one last season, Yak barely gets injured, so he's reliable.
e) There are positions that needs sorting the most and up front isnt really one that needs it. Right back. Right wing. Oh and keeping Pienaar. With no money.

So before you start going "we wanna be top 4" blah blah blah and the Yak isnt good enough, answer them then say the Yak aint good enough.

He missed a peno today and won 5.1. If the score was different then I'd maybe argue the toss why he's not good enough and that. But he was good today, on another day he'd have had 3 himself (and pasties).

2 reasons why I won't be debating this subject with you.
Firstly because you're not very polite, and secondly because you're not very smart either.

I'm out.
Seen this [Poor language removed] before here, where a guy can't have an opinion without being surrounded by guys queueing up to have a go.
My opinion is that the Yak is about as much use to us as a striker as Jo was.
That's 'my' opinion. I don't remember insulting anyone else for having a different one, so perhaps remember that.

And he grins! ALOT.

When he did a lot of hard work down the line and then let the ball run out....pissed me off and I bet a couple thousand fans jumped on his back too...

But then the camera hit him and he had a massive smile and it made me forget about it.

He misses a peno (he should never take them now though), 30k on his back....

He smiles.

Makes me all warm.

*cough* Fellaini *cough*

Agreed. His lanquid style can have a knock on effect when leading from the front but when he's on tune, he's world class.

I am sorry you feel that way, but when you mmake sensational, outlandish posts like this, you have to expect people to pull you up on it. It is no different to being in the pub watching a game and saying "That Arteta, he's right shoite he is". People aren't going to politely tell you you are wrong, they are most likely gonna make fun of you for a bit, letting you know exactly how wrong you are. Grow some skin FFS!!!!!

So.........you cant answer the points then?b)

He missed a penalty and a couple of decent chances = massive rant about him being dung = massive kneejerk by the BB cat.

So you think this is about him missing a penalty, and hitting the post?
Now it all makes sense.
It isn't, so drop it m8.

It's about fans suddenly saying how great he is just because he has had one good game.
He's not. Hull were just dire.

If I was in a Pub and somebody called Arteta [Poor language removed], I would lamp the tart.

BB talks [Poor language removed] then crys when people call him [Poor language removed] SHOCKER.

CALL THE SUN

To be fair to bastardo, he's not alone. A lot of fans really dislike Yakubu and his languid style.

Me? He has frustrated me many a times. But then he goes and smiles and makes me feel warm.
