I'm out.
Seen this [Poor language removed] before here, where a guy can't have an opinion without being surrounded by guys queueing up to have a go.
My opinion is that the Yak is about as much use to us as a striker as Jo was.
That's 'my' opinion. I don't remember insulting anyone else for having a different one, so perhaps remember that.

We played awful today and Hull deserved to win but we got 5 lucky goals and managed to steal the 3 points.

Can i say that and hide behind the "oh its my opinion" line?

Of course not. Contrary to popular opinion, opinions can be wrong.

Doesn't mean yours is, but if you can't handle other people taking issue with your opinion its probably best to not say it really isn't it.

This reminds me of the time HalewoodBlue tried to say it was his opinion that Jagielka was crap because he didn't go on long mazy runs with the ball beating about 5 men.

Certainly can. Its happened to me many a times, even today. After questioning why he was so far out wide as a lone striker, he then goes and puts in a David Beckham cross.

Yakubu exists to make us all look foolish

He clearly takes penalties to make himself look foolish though.

ffs DO NOT let him take any more. Apart from that had a decent game, but his super eagle mate just doesn't cut it for me.

Abosolutley superb performence by the Yak today! When he is scoring goals hes super cool when he is not hes a lazy git. I dont get the lazy thing, hes gets battered by six foot centre halfs every game and still manages to hold up the ball, he pulls defences apart with power and positionining (see Artetas first goal) where he ended up out on the flank leaving their defence wondering wheather to stick or swival leaving Arteta in acres.

He doesnt look sharp from a goal scoring point of view, but that may be due to a lack of games, you would have to say a sharp Yak would have had a hatrick today.

His build up play is possibly just behind Rooney and Drogba as the best in the league but more applcable to our system then the other two - i dont think its a coincidence that all our goalscoreres today were midfeilders.

The Yak thing is strange, being on form for me the Yak is the third best striker in the country. His quality as a footballer, power, linked with vison and intellegnce makes him an exteamely special player - by far one of our most gifted. If Saha had played today and not scored no one would have bated an eyelid.

To be honest i would have the Yak over Saha in the team any day - dont get me wrong Saha is a crack striker and complaetley deserved to keep the shirt for most of the season, but Yak offers us more, is a more well rounded player and is more suited to our system.

Big shout out to Anichebe today who i thought had a really good game.

BB talks [Poor language removed] then crys when people call him [Poor language removed] SHOCKER.

From what I've concluded since being on this forum, a tart would kick your ass.

OOOOOH you went so close as well.....

OOOOOH you went so close as well.....

He did well in a really difficult role, switching from midfeild to attack - depending on pocession, coming from deep he confused their centre backs - who didnt know wheather to hold the line of go to a man, while at the same time had to consider our other midfeild runners especially Rodwell and Landon when they came on.

But thanks, boss, super fan me lad.

But not as good as me though, as a Welshman venturing across Offa's Dyke to go to every game, the ultimate in bravery :)

And having Yakubu 22 on the back when everyone around you is ripping the guy...

Agreed, I didn't think he was excellent by any means, but he wasn't poor either, especially in the second half. A solid game from lil Vic.

Interesting that you think Yak suits us better than Saha Neiler, I said in another thread a few days ago that I prefer Yak to Saha and didn't think anyone would agree. Saha is probably better technically, but Yak's brain is next level. Usually with the intelligent players I can guess what they are trying to do, because they play a certain way and make the most efficient passes possible. Yak is different, he does stuff that makes me think 'what the ****' but then it nearly comes off and you understand what he was trying to do. I find him so entertaining to watch, that moment when he did a nice little turn and then messed his legs up and ran it out of play without even touching it and then just GRINS. Great guy.

He is, I'd agree with that.

I love them both, they bring different things to the table. I still think they could easily play together given a run of games.
