I really like Fellaini, and up until today I have been in the "keep" camp. However, with yet another story this morning on the Echo's website regarding Arsenal, I've run out if patience. The problem is the public knowledge of the clause - so if Arsenal eventually look elsewhere, they will simply be replaced by another club, and this will carry on all the way throughout the summer until either the window closes or MF leaves . Very destabilising for the club. Fellaini could come out & say he's staying to make sure he keeps his World Cup place, but in reality his agent would never let him do that.

As a result, we should resolve this quickly so we don't miss out on his replacement. Who would be your preferred replacement?

I think Wanyama would be a decent shout. Didn't do himself any harm playing CL games. He seems reluctant to go to Southampton, but I cant see any English CL teams coming in for him. 21 years old, so a lot still to come and sell on value too. Might be worth matching the £12M bid of the Saints.

Have to agree the Celtic lad I think could do a good job for us but I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives out there... Be interesting to see does he blow alot on just 1 player or bring in 2 midfielders as much as I like Gibson we won't get full season from him....

Are you worried that the sky will fall on our heads tomorrow mate? nyuk nyuk nyuk (Great name btw)

I actually like the idea of Barkley getting chucked in the deep end but I would suggest maybe we go for Fer as well and see if they can work together

I'm pretty much sold on Fer now after the monumental amount of hype he's received in these neck of the woods

I'm amazed that two people have suggested we get an SPL player considering the negativity surrounding that league on here

I'm pleasantly surprised

Out of the list, Victor Wanyama. Strootman is linked with United etc, Fer is more attacking. I would have loved Capoue but seems like he is going to Madrid. Otherwise, if we get 24 million I would not mind say McCarthy and Fer, two midfielders both young and whilst McCarthy would sit and break up play, Fer could offer a bit more going forward.

Wanyama looks a solid good player but if I had my way I'd like defour or fer or if I'm been greedy I'd like both!! With Moses on the right and move mirallas into the middle behind the striker whoever that might be and like to bring in Redmond from Birmingham... Look at me the Everton fans fantasy land

I wouldn't say fantasy lad, could be quite realistic if we get a decent price for Felli and we have this already supposed £10million to spend with it as well

Could Fellaini and Fer play together? If not, how could we go for Fer now?

I'm pretty sure he wants to come, but as I've said on other threads, I've watched him on Setanta and I'm not impressed.

Just my opinion, of course, and I could be wrong. I hope I am.

Someone reminded me that they waited till the last day of the window for Mikel so this could be the case again, try and undo their rivals.

I dont think that'll be allowed at our end. I'm convinced we only have player sale cash to use in the transfer market. Martinez will want Fellaini gone for a decent price asap. He cant move on anything otherwise, IMO.

But if he got a clause then we have no control over when Arsenal take Fellaini.
