ok so you wanted Dunc in as you thought he was the right man, I said anyone at all because you didnt define who you wanted in.

Because I think he's an able deputy whilst we search for the right man, yes.

We clearly didn't have a man lined up for Benitez going so why would I want us to rush a new manager? I don't enjoy is sacking someone every year you know. I'd like us to actually have a think and hire the right man whoever that is.

Let's be fair it took God 6 days to create the world. Dunc has only had 4 to turn a team in freefall around. Give him a few weeks to implement a plan and strategy and let's not rush an appointment for a replacement. We can't afford to shell out another 8 million for a dud.

If people think a new manager full time before a director of football is hopefully installed, will grant stability that will avoid a real relegation fight in the future, I point to how we got in this position in the first place.

I agree, sometimes crises do occur though, and you are forced to take decisions you ordinarily wouldnt want to. That's lfe.

Personally I think we are in the middle of a major crisis.

Agree completely. There is no point wasting millions on a panic appointment. There are signs of improvements and hopefully a win in the cup vs Brentford would provide a massive boost for the club.

Its not about 90 minutes though is it. Its not Fergusons fault that we have 6 points from 42 - but thats where we are.

Got a bit of effort out of them today , worrying that it was basically the same tactics with two in midfield that hasn't worked prior to today.
Give his due did try and change thing up player wise after the start.

Agree with this. The best indication of where a team is the performance between 20-45 once the game has settled. Once Villa were in front they managed the game effectively. I did not feel there was a goal in us today

Yeah, there was definitely a point in the second half when even though we were going forward and trying, I just couldn't see us scoring.

Yes, and I'm confident even after today, we will still stay up by giving Dunc the next few games whilst we search for the right man.
