Ferguson Caretaker Manager

Hope it’s not for long.

4-4-2 dinosaur football. DCL clearly not match fit & way out of form, we should be playing a front 3 of Gray-Richarlison-Gordon with 3 in midfield.

If Fat Sam or FSW had been the ones to serve that up today, they would rightly be slated.

I get the point and 100% agree Mosh needs to butt out on football matters but our previous forays with DOF have been abject failures so it's not a proven methodology as dar as Everton are concerned.

However if Mosh and BK do keep out of football matters then maybe it should work.

Still not convinced though.
Does anyone after 6 years of Moshiri think it's remotely possible that he stays out of team affairs?

Very naive if so.

Wherein has it been said we're seeking one out?

Moshiri:

"The strategic football review that is currently ongoing will ensure we have the best model in place moving forward."

That model is to be determined...and after Walsh and Brands I;m betting it wont be continued.
Well it makes just as little sense to hire a new manager when the decision hierarchy is under review for poor practices regardless. And if the main takeaway from Walsh and Brands is not needing a DoF, I point to the level of power we have given managers in recruitment as far more representative of our current problems.

You are right, that might not be the direction the board goes post the review. That doesn't change the fact that it should be. Nor does it suggests a manager deciding our direction is a better alternative as again that has been more clear to our current mess.

If Moshiri will be a problem regardless I would prefer those issues with someone who at least has a longterm vision as his main job requirement, than a manager who by past precedent at Everton, if not just generally in football could be out the door every other year.

That should put to bed the shouts to give him the job permanently, simplistic hoof-ball tactics up to DCL to try and win a flick on/foul will get stale real quick.

With confidence we would have scored 2 today. He will being that.Leave him in charge to get us points
How could there be more fortuitous circumstances than today: Benitez gone; *hero* in the dugout; fans right up for it...and then a clueless performance by and large and defeat to Villa...who are bang average.

We need a manager badly.

Villa have improved. They have a decent side of fast quick players. And added some quality in digne and coutinho in this window. They will finish top half easy. Maybe there is a difference between average and bang average. We need to play like we did second half from minute one. Intensity was good and changes ferguson made made a difference. 2 man midfield was his call today and I wouldnt agree with that.
Dcl and mina should have scored those chances. They will with confidence. Ferguson will bring that. He might not be the long term plan and that's fair enough.
