Funny stuffs. Unlike the real club, Everton seem to do well enough scoring from corners.

Stones finally got one, header off a corner, and went into that instructional celebration. Nearly spit my coffee watching Stones educating Lukaku, Ross, and Kev on the fine art of bulging the back of the net.

LANGUAGE ISSUE!

So earlier in the thread I posted on the language quandary. Ended up spending more cash for the fancy pants version because it was the American one with Clint Dempsey on the cover, rather than the Sudoamericano version.

Here's the deal.

I can switch languages from English to Spanish on my current version, hooray, but the commentary, no matter which option, remains martin tyler. (or I imagine the international duo is the same, only played one match before switching the default back to ingles.)

So I will defo be getting the Sudoamericano version next year. All the details and selections will be in English, but the announcing will be vastly superior. (Don't tell the wife, but even debating doing it THIS year...) It will enrich my vocab immensely I imagine. Useful for Friday Night Futbol at the very least.

I always manage Everton on career mode, whichever version of the game, on PS3. Ever since FIFA 12, Edin Dzeko has always signed for Arsenal, every single time I begin a new career.

Wonder if it's a bug.

In other news, Fabian Delph, available to sign on a pre-contract on first season, becomes boss.

Currently on my first season with Everton, top of my Europa group which includes Poznan and Fiorentina.

Just wondering what difficulty everyone plays on and controls?

I really hate assisted, so I put Passing and Shooting on Semi, then Through Balls on manual.

Beat Rangers 5-0 at Ibrox in my Celtic career, with Shane Duffy scoring a goal

Bloody corker too, got the ball on the half way line and charged through the Ranger's defence to smash it past the keeper. Madness!

Whenever I play as Everton at the moment, I seem to always score from a Barkley header at a corner

I've found headers to be quite tricky this year, only managed to score one from a corner so far (Osman of all people)

Oh well, at least you got a decent striker in to replace him

I usually save up and buy Rooney back, as EA usually give him good stats and it always pleases me to see him back in an Everton shirt. Not done it this time though. I've just stuck with Lukaku and, believe it or not, Kone. He's not bad on the game actually. Use him pretty much just in the cups and he's done a good job for me

I've successfully negociated my Champions League group in my Celtic career, with just 4 games gone

Top of the group with 3 wins and 1 draw on 10 points. Barca in second with 9. Zenit 3rd with 2 and Saint Etienne in 4th with 1.

Still got to go to the Camp Nou and have also got to play Saint Etienne at home

Draw 0-0 with Zenit at home and beat them 2-0 away, which I'm quite happy with. Beat Etienne 3-1 at their gaff and somehow managed to beat Barca 1-0. Leigh Griffiths got the winner in that one

Not sure whether to rest players now in the next two games or to go all out and try to win the group. Thankfully, the squad players are generally quite good, so I can trust them in the League and Scottish Cup

I've done well with headers from crosses with Everton, though it's usually Kong, Distin, or Stones from the back line. Less frequently now that I've bumped up to "World Class".

Been spending more time on my player career this week. Finished second season with new Budesliga champs, 1860 Munich. Hooray. Avatar is now an 86, reigning BL player of the year and golden boot winner (connection was down, so no EA level points for 'em) worth north of $40m US, and still only getting paid $7,000 per week.

Love how on managerial mode you can negotiate with players who want out, offer them cash and they might stay. But on player mode, either I stick with being horribly underpaid or force my way out of the club. No grey area. (And no way to send the club "feelers" on my morale, either.) And seemingly now way to run out a contract and entertain offers from anyone.

So $7k per week, or join FC Moneybags Oligarch Fantasy Squad United...

As I manage Everton on the other mode, don't want to go to the BPL, won't go from 60 to Bayern... won't do RM or Barca.

I'm putting the over/under at 8.5 offseason replays before I receive an offer from a club I wouldn't mind playing for.
