Don't want unlimited subs, no chance
Everton are the only side to put subs on to waste time and give the opposition the thirty seconds they needed to snatch a winner. It's not that easy when a goalkeeper takes the best part of two minutes over every goal kick though and doesn't even
get a warning off the ref during the full 95+ minutes.
Players going down with 'cramp' for another 2 minutes a time.
Making two substitutions with 30 seconds of injury time remaining etc etc.
it just completely ruins the game as a spectator sport.
I would like:
- more points for headed goals
- goalie in 'n' out
- different sized goals
- one player from attacking team can dribble along goal line from corners
- manager to go in goal during penalty shootouts
Spend much time watching Italy last month? The only downside to the clock stopping I can see is teams using it to deliberately slow down a game and take the heat out of the game if being put on the back foot. I’d like to see refs have the ability to keep the game flowing I.e. throws, corners etc being taken within 3/5 seconds of the referees whistle.
In a league season? Not for me.Also I'd like to see a penalty shootout if the 90 minutes ends in a draw. Both teams get 1 point. Then the winner of the shootout gets another point.
I like the physios idea; I would add that they should also be allowed to partake in the game while on field, tackling opposition and laying it off to team-mates and so forth. There's been multiple rule change threads and I've always said the same thing, that physios should be allowed on to treat an injured player while play continues. Put a stop to players faking injury to get the ball put out, also an actual injury is seen to much quicker as there's no waiting for the ball to be put out or the ref to whistle..
