We've got Richarlison, DCL and Kean. Who are we getting that isn't going to want to take minutes away from them and also be worthwhile? Just let Tosun do it and hope we never need him.Would like to see a back up striker too...

It's almost like you didn't even mention our best player from last season to make your point viable.DCL has had 3 good months of scoring goals in 3 years at the club.
Kean is also unproven and may or may not progress.
So essentially we have 1 proven goalscorer at the club yet some fans go on like we have Barca's forward options.

Of course you count Wilson as an established CF so there isn't much point to this conversationI did - we have 1 proven goalscorer.
The other 2 are "potential" and that is it at this stage.
Ancelotti has shown with his transfer dealings that he's fed up of the Fifa stat boys and their endless list of 20 year old potential superstars and has gotten in rough n ready players in their prime to do a mans job.
Dont be shocked to see an established CF come in...
Giroud isn't coming to be third string and we shouldn't be signing someone to the detriment of Kean and DCL.Still think we are short up front...
DCL gets injured, Kean still unproven & Tosun has been injured for several weeks & did not impress on earlier displays...
Richarlison can play there but then we lose width.
Be a shame after signing a new midfield if we didn't complete the job & get a back up striker....
Giroud would be a good signing...

I should add that whilst I am personal friends with several footie journos, 2 ex-Everton marketing/PR heads and 2 football agents through friendships built up the old-fashioned way (attending games and talking to people) & thus get the odd bit of info it is not direct from the club and I do not claim it is. I am not ITK in any meaningful sense. However, my Chelsea in is one of Roman's team in London because our kids were at the same schools in North London for years. I'll only know what & when Roman tells them because football is Marina Granovskaia's exclusive personal domain and she reports direct to Abramovich but if I hear I will share.

I look at it like this though, if Chelsea end up selling him for big profit next season, then he must have had a decent season for us? Which can only be a good thing.Be a boss signing this but at the same time a purchase option is a must. Be arsed developing other clubs players only for them to go and sell the player for a big profit to somebody else.
