Nothing new yet again from Sky.

'TOMORI STILL HAS A FUTURE AT CHELSEA'

Despite reports suggesting Chelsea defender Fiyako Tomori was set to join Everton on loan this season, Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol says the player does still have a future at Stamford Bridge.

"Frank Lampard was a bit guarded about what is going to happen with Tomori, he said he had not heard too much about the reports he could be going to Everton on loan," he told The Transfer Show. "He said he had been training today with the rest of the Chelsea squad and Tomori was in his plans for the game this weekend.

"So there is still a chance Tomori could stay at Chelsea and interestingly, when asked what he had to do to get back in his plans, Lampard said he wanted him to work as hard as he did in training for the majority of last season.

"So just giving us a sense there that Tomori does still have a future at the club if he wants to stay."

Loan with option to buy hopefully. He knows if he plays first team here he will be in the England squad. Not 5th choice at his current club.

It would suit Chelsea to make us wait until deadline day.

The thing is having viable alternatives, the "buying" club puts itself in a much stronger position if it has one or two other choices in the pipeline.

It's true for every position, and is just common sense.

I think a lot depends on how much the player and club wants him to leave.

I'll be honest, I'm not sure it's a key priority for us. If he doesnt come in, we keep Gibson and Brainthwaite. If he does we loan them out. I'd see him as a bonus signing really.

Not seen too much of him myself, but a friend of mine who is a Chelsea season ticket holder, rates him very highly. Reckons he’s potentially better than Zouma and very quick.
I reckon he’d be straight in the team at Everton and would provide excellent completion for places.

Move on - Chelsea love taking the mick out of us since the Stones debacle.

Wouldnt even bring in a CB tbh unless it was a proper leader at the back - get LW/CF/RB sorted first.

He will be behind Zouma, Rudiger, Silva and Christensen. Let's see this weekend. Can imagine we want him as i cant think of any other CB we might get on loan
