There is no right of appeal to CAS (there wont be for city either)In the unlikely event of a transfer embargo of a window - am I right in saying that a club would then have the right to appeal this to the Court of Arbitration for Sport?
If so, and the commission report concluded we had a transfer ban for next summer we'd be able to get past that window and buy the strikers we need.
It'll be because of our supposed COVID losses.
Think we'll get away with it. We presumably had multi year deals with USM, megafone and alike - you can't really plan to cut 25 odd million out of your expected budget within a season. Mitigating circumstances.
The penalty cannot be relegation, it can result in the club being kicked out of the Premier League. There is no guarantee that the club will be given a place in the Championship, the Championship clubs need to vote on whether to accept the club into the Championship or not. If they vote against it, then the relegated club applies to L1 and so on until a league accepts them.Maybe this is related to the City case? City could point to Everton not being investigated if they're getting investigate it and it could weaken the commission;s case against them.
It's not really mitigating circumstances to say your shady funding deals with a shadowy undeclared owner fell apart because he was sanctioned for being cronies with a warmonger. If anything that's a can of worms that could make things much worse.Think we'll get away with it. We presumably had multi year deals with USM, megafone and alike - you can't really plan to cut 25 odd million out of your expected budget within a season. Mitigating circumstances.
Now You knew you were wrong when you posted that didn't you. Take a look at the post below yours and what do you see. Moshiri's no. 1 fan rooting for Sir Farhad.I doubt anybody will argue in his defence, but the point remains that the game is rigged as things stand.
We’ve been going downhill for a lot longer than mate. Moshiri is the one guy who was prepared to take a gamble. We’ve only become relegation fodder since this clown arrived?
ReportedSad day in Everton's history that we scrape escaping relegation last season by cheating.
They should throw the book at us.
We need to repent for our sins.
They were signed off the previous year.
They gave Chelsea a transfer banNothing is going to happen, the Premier League are hysterically inept, and always have been.
Note it says the charge relates to the period ending with the 21/22 season. It’s not that one season/accounts that are the problem, it will be the 3 year period (average losses) that ended with that season. That 3 year period included loads of significant financial events. Covid, weird Finch Farm sponsorships, stadium naming rights etc etc.
But would have thought that if we were being transparent and running all proposed expenditures past the PL, it was to ensure the 3 year average was compliant? Very odd. There is no way the PL is disputing the audit opinion of the external auditors on the Covid affected accounts. They don’t win that war.
Quite likely the Covid rules were so poorly written and we exploited them to the max, but did not break them. But those we have offended by doing this are now attacking from a different angle.
Still a load of nonsense from a sporting perspective.
