@davek the club has the ability to appeal. That goes to an appeals board

The club could in some circumstances go to arbitration. But those circumstances are very defined in the PL rulebook

Note what it says in X.2

No. If we dispute the decision of both the independent commission and appeals board/commission. Only under certain circumstances can we request arbitration

Membership of the Premier League means submitting to the rules of the league. That constitutes a written contract/agreement clubs and directors (Kenwright and Baxendale) are legally required to comply with

This is from a report related to the City case:

Taylor Heath adds: “Rule W.45 says the burden is on the Premier League to prove the complaint and ‘the standard of proof shall be on a balance of probabilities.’ “Once that happens, it’s set out in the regulations that you can go to arbitration, which is in rule X. If you have arbitration, you can’t go to court. There are limited grounds to appeal arbitration under the arbitration act - normally if something is amiss with those proceedings.

“It won’t end up in CAS like the UEFA proceedings unless City basically say they’re not engaging in this process and if the Premier League does anything we’ll take them there. That would then see CAS decide if they have the jurisdiction to adhere to such a complaint. There’s no path in the Premier League rules that lead there."

“What the rules then set out is the ability to hold an appeal, which allows a party to appeal to a further hearing which will effectively be a similar panel to the first. It’ll be a newly constituted panel that would hear the appeal.

We havent broke the law, we have broke Premier League rules, thus the Premier League will rule on our guilt.

We signed a contract saying we would abide by the rules.

We dont have a legal leg to stand on.
We haven't broke any rules. We are innocent as it stands.

Legally we can take this as high as we want if we show that the PL overstep the mark or are nor fair in their investigations.

We’ll know when we see our accounts (any day now) if we’ve broken the rules or not.

We wont, thats just it.

I mean the last 3 accounts we published clearly showed we had broke the rules.

But its beyond complex to understand.

Yes, and the 2021/22 accounts will show if we’ve broken the rules for that year after the PL essentially gave us a second chance. It really isn’t complex at all.
