Financial Fair Play investigation

The question is if Covid stopped the sale, not the arrest.

Only a musing anyway.
I've never been a fan of the concept of transfer add-backs tied to Covid 19, it feels too remote and speculative but I guess a Panel would decide it

Stoke argued similar about Impairment and lost profit.

He looks fairly happy here and content to stay and drain the club of every single penny

Well no duh

But the media rhetoric is that we have spent 700 mil alluding to us going on some mad spending spree like a sheikh who has let his son loose on a credit card with no limit

Clearly not on players though if we are 15th for net spend over 5 years

The club is run abysmally
The media led Big spenders Everton has never sat well with me.
Yes we have bought badly , but so have other clubs.

An indicator of our "Big spending " is in the table of Premier lge biggest transfers our 2 highest ( Sigurdsson & Richarlison ) sit 67th & 97th.
This media led myth needs to be addressed pronto.

It’s the wage bill that is our biggest issue.
Compared to other clubs our wage bill is disproportionately high.

Fair. Yeah I concur that Covid would add costs for this sort of thing. I still don't go on for the £170-220m in claimed add-backs however. Seems high.
Costs for the new stadium, whether Covid related or no,t are not included in FFP / P&S calculations. Clubs can spend as much as they want on new infrastructure, otherwise Spurs, Villa and Everton amongst others wouldn't be able to redevelop their stadia

I understand that but it doesn't take away from the number used to calculate the average was 170m. This is the number that I suspect is the issue with P&S. If this number was closer to other club's Covid losses it would mean EFC would only be able to attribute about 50m to Covid as opposed to 80m
So if we add in the uncrystlised losses, to the crystallised - which I haven’t to this point we are proposing something like:

Year 1) Loss : £111mill in 2018-19

Year 2) Loss Averaged £134 mill - less crystallised and uncrystallised losses off £256.2 mill = £122 mill profit. 19/20 & 20/21

Year 3) Projected loss £50 mill. 21/22

*Less £45 mill for youth football, women's football and community over three years.

Tight.

Agreed. They're listed separately too and rightly adjusted out of the calculations.

That is very true , its why we are in this mess. The wages we pay are ridiculous compared to our other spending.

Never the less it's not the narrative the press take , they continually paint the club as Big spenders ( £700 in 6 yrs ) when our net spend on transfers is pretty low and they very rarely mention wages.

Im adding crystallised and uncrystallised, one is concrete costs and the other projected impairment and onerous etc?
The own clubs upper loss estimates were as follows:
£82m- TOTAL crystallised losses
A further £88-138m in uncrystallised losses.

Going with your figures Would that be a total of £256m or an average as the former is insane. I'm which case the average would be £128m and it's the average that we subtract from the averaged loss.
