It really isn't the same thing as Gylfi's case where he was cleared of wrong doing. Greenwood's case was dropped because the key witness dropped out. I respect Utd for not going back on their decision, case dropped is not the same as cleared of charges, and publicly available evidence is not the same as a random accusation. I still don't think Everton had much choice in the matter with it being minor related, nor did Utd with the evidence and you are right about them not supporting him, at least publicly. The reasons why don't matter. United banned Greenwood and, as far as I know, still haven't integrated him back into training despite the case being dropped.
