The post I replied to said "carry on like Arsenal and United supporting players and the governing bodies say feck all".

The reasons why don't matter. United banned Greenwood and, as far as I know, still haven't integrated him back into training despite the case being dropped.

The thing is, apparently the club wanted to bring him back but the players didn't want him back( UnitedStand) because they had heard the audio and seen the photos. It really isn't the same thing as Gylfi's case where he was cleared of wrong doing. Greenwood's case was dropped because the key witness dropped out. I respect Utd for not going back on their decision, case dropped is not the same as cleared of charges, and publicly available evidence is not the same as a random accusation. I still don't think Everton had much choice in the matter with it being minor related, nor did Utd with the evidence and you are right about them not supporting him, at least publicly. Think both players had contracts honoured during their absence regardless

Good stuff, more likely we will be found innocent, PL won’t want that mess on their brands doorstep, if that was to set a precedent imagine what others will claim on Citys charges - billions.

Fairly transparent what going on here and the timing, clubs we are in a relegation battle leak story to gullible journo, to pressure a rival club in the middle of said relegation battle.

Nothing to see here, like last year - all went quiet and away once the battle was over.

One thing the league doesn't do is quick resolutions.

Look at City.

Look at Ivan Toney, who's admitted guilt to over 200 charges but nothing will happen until they investigate the last 12 or so.

Absolutely nothing will happen, MAYBE a suspended points deduction/transfer ban for future breaches.

That weasel looking Matt Daily Mail is just getting clicks for ad revenue. It's dirty work, but he's gotta eat.

Just annoys the flump out of me. Forest who are in for the thick end of 200 million in transfers just this season alone - ok they probably have a lot on the drip over the next few years, but with wages and replacing some of the gash they have now they are not coming out of a 3 year period under 105 million losses.

Chelsea are doing god knows what. Utd are 1 billion in debt. City and Newcastle can make up whatever sponsorship deals they want being owned by countries.

If we were flying in the league and breaking rules then someone might have a point about financial doping helping us, yet here we are struggling because we are trying to hit the targets given by selling our best (or biggest in the case of Gordon) assets. If Putin hadn't invaded Ukraine we probably would have had another what 60 to 100 million more in sponsorship and that changes the picture completely. How is it possible to budget in advance for your main source of income just disappearing overnight without just selling everything and everyone to compensate?

That in turn would put the club at risk of surviving which is exactly what FFP is dressed up as to help prevent. I think we'll get away without sanctions because of that fact but FFP needs a rethink now.

The commission should be invited to watch a package of all of our games over the last two seasons, this and the last. To determine the exact degree of any advantage our largesse has gained.

They'd end up GIVING us money in compensation and lauding supporters for their endurance.
