Saudi has basically become a work around for the big clubs to comply with FFP. It's pointless even trying to compete these days.
We got involved with people at the heart of Russian skullduggery and corruption.
Had we got involved with people at the heart of Saudi skullduggery and corruption instead we would be quids in.
At the moment - Russian thugs = bad
Saudi thugs = "come on in with open arms"

TLDR -
All big business and politics are corrupt. Football is now all about big business and politics, ergo, football is corrupt.

RIP Football. You used to be a 'sport'

To be fair, that shows how dumb kenwright is. selling to someone with russian ties would always be risky because of our strained relationship.

The uk/us will never turn on Saudi because they manage/destabilise that region on our behalf. In return, we sell them weapons and turn a blind eye to their many crimes.

No, it is because the Western World is dependent on Gulf State oil

Because he knew they'd invade Ukraine.

Farhad Moshiri can call general meeting at Everton to get rid of Bill Kenwright

Farhad Moshiri can call a general meeting at Everton to remove Bill Kenwright as director of the club in the worst-case scenario, according to The Esk.

It has been one week since sweeping changes in the boardroom at Goodison Park and the promise of communication, something that has yet to be delivered.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, The Esk wrote: “At worst, Moshiri could call a general meeting to remove Bill Kenwright as director.

“Minimum notice period is 14 days. However, with the support of holders of an additional 1219 shares (taking support above the 95% threshold) that notice period can be shortened at will.”

And here was me thinking that an owner who had 94% ownership of Evertons shares couldn't get rid of Kenwright if he wanted to but could call a General Meeting to remove him.

I think we might be waiting a long time for Moshiri to do that.....we are currently on 7 years and counting

Yes that's how I feel. I have zero expectation of us winning a sausage until there's a super league now.

Agree with that too just unlucky for us there was a war. But even then given it was Moshiri still fronting the money we still wouldn't have been successful in my view because we already had six years of failure, maybe we wouldn't have been battling relegation mind you.

Different levels the Saudi thing though. 1 mans blood money vs an entire state of infinite funds.

Club's still had to run as a business and worry about balance sheets. City, Newcastle, etc don't. They just have to worry about inventive ways of getting round things.

Super League is needed. 100% in my book
