We have at least 4 or 5 years of suffering ahead of us Dave.

There is no silver lining in sight for me.

Pain and misery await.
I dont think so mate.

We stabilise soon with this FFP business out of the road and the stadium up and running.

Everton FC are the last of the north west giants to be snapped up by players with seriously transformative levels of cash.

If we stay in this division we'll have a takeover from people with eye-watering levels of cash to spend.

Thats Plan B and seems unrealistic currently.

Liquidation is so close we can touch it.

If we get relegated do any PL FFP breaches and punishments get wiped when we get promoted? We will have left PL ‘rules’ and isn’t to continue with punishment being tried twice for the same crime or do they see it as we escaped PL prison and have been recaptured on promotion?

Asking for a friend who is just interested in footy (and getting rid of Kenwright).

Not having a go at you when I say this, football giants don’t tolerate Kenwright for decades , be revered like Moyes is for a lack of success or be content with finishing sixth or seventh for a handful of seasons. They simply don’t .

‘The Hollywood of Football?‘

We're not in good shape. But things change very quickly for football clubs these days.

A state of the art stadium with PL status attached to it will have the investors salivating. Investors who will see the club's finances as nowhere near enough of a problem to hesitate to get involved.

We're only having to apparently flirt with dealing with trash like 777 because Moshiri is desperate to finish this stadium off.

This is the only way out of this.

Full takeover including stadium by cash rich owners and a full restructure of sponsorship.

The other version ( it terrifies me ) is "investment" , if this happens I agree with Goat it would take 5 years of tepid development with Kenwright & Moshiri still with hands on the wheel.

Kenwright wouldn't be an issue. The type of investors I'm talking about would not countenance Kenwright, and Moshiri would sell up in an instant.

Those 'investors' dont get involved for nothing though. They want to be the one's holding stock when this club is targetted by a sovereign wealth fund.

Of course they do they'll make a packet.

But the caveat means these chumps will still have a level of control of the club if its just "investment"

Outright sale is the only way out of this.
