The PL are basically the prosecution. They believe we are guilty and are recommending a 12 point deduction. The independent commission is the judge who is totally separate to the PL. Just because the PL are recommending a 12 point deduction, it doesn't mean that's what the punishment will be even is Everton are found guilty.

You can bet your house that they will use us an example to scare other teams, nothing will happen to City or any of the 'Big 6' and we will be used as scapegoats. We are screwed and there is only a negative outcome going to come from this, on the other hand it could make for an interesting rest of this season. I was accusing the tone of the headline of the article (and all subsequent piggybacking by other outlets) of making it sound like the PL could “decide” the punishment. Fully aware of how it is in actuality.
Plenty of fans don’t frequent this forum and thus don’t have access to the foremost financial and legal minds in the country. The tone of the reporting (guessing) makes it look like there is no independence. It’s not right and not fair on the already battered fanbase. Just wait for the verdict.
