Financial Fair Play investigation

Twitter Rumours that it will be a £3m fine and -6 points suspended for 2 years.
Provided the club don’t get into more financial issues, the -6 points will go away at the start of 26/27 season.
We’d take that of course but no point getting worked up over twitter rumours unless they are coming from someone with a track record. You could probably find ten different rumoured outcomes on Twitter if you wanted to.

We might be cleared of the charge.

And due weight must be given to the club's efforts to get it's house in order. Credit for changing your ways should be a significant mitigation in any quasi-judicial process.

Think the whole thing is an absolute Kangaroo show mate.

My take is we were guilty as sin the year before when we blagged the Covid losses, i think the PL looked at it and went soft handed on us because they didn't want to have to interpret every others clubs covid losses and it was a poorly defined and rushed rule - but i think they resented us because of it and i think that was compounded by Burnley and Leeds publicly highlighting it.

All this culminated in i think the referral this year with a couple of other variables in mind - being seen to be tough and getting other clubs of their back etc, id speculate the charge if for a minor offence and hopefully the above reported rumour; of a fine and suspended sentence is true, basically that would be a shot across the bowe and a stint on the bold boy step.

that would be fair, still paying more of a fine than the vultures got trying to destroy the Premier League.
If those figures are true it’s a bit less than the Super League fine which was £3.66m each. Any of them will also be fined £20m and docked 30 points if they try it again.

Agree it was way too lenient given what they tried though.
