Financial Fair Play investigation

Bit concerning that the odds on the exchange on our relegation are the same now as what they were before we beat palace 3 nil. In fact the price movement is suggesting that it's felt by professionals that there is a good chance we will get a points deduction.

This is a bit far fetched but hear me out. The Premier league product is facing a problem, namely man city winning the thing year after year it's becoming a bit of a procession. They would like the old guard like arse, the rs and utd being in the mix again so would like to hamstring city somehow, even the playing field so to say.

City have sanctions against them but also have buildings full of lawyers and nothing will stick. This is where poor old Everton come in. The Premier league will use us to set a precedent, points deduction/transfer ban, so that their case against city will have a better chance of sticking and bring them down apeg or two. Sure if it doesn't work it's only Everton after all who cares.

Noticed there’s been a slight movement on Betfair today although there’s not significant cash going through that market so might just be a few folk going off the back of what Jordan said. If there was real inside knowledge I think there’d be more money coming in but something to keep an eye on.

Nah. They weren’t bothered when United were winning everything.

Don’t talksport have a betting company? Could be an argument/conspiracy that by getting Jordan to make a statement like that they are getting money running through an outcome they know isn’t happening. (If you believe that media services are being briefed about an outcome etc)

Certainly possible. I’m sure Sky used to have a little thing going through Sky bet to ramp stuff like manager markets. In this case I’m still not convinced anyone knows anything yet but if a verdict is leaking out the betting markets won’t be the last to know that’s for sure.

If they do give us a 12 point deduction after the ‘Super League’ breakaways only got a minor slap on the wrist, combined with the inevitability of City not being punished for actual cheating, then the obvious will be made even more so. It’ll just prove that they no longer care to try and be subtle about it.

If any info had been leaked out then would be able to throw the case out if it did not come from the club. Just hope that the club being confident is correct and we can just move on from this
