Buy in bulk and freeze stuff if possible. Or batch cook and freeze. Store cupboard classics too.

I switched to eating more (but not exclusivley) vegetarian food during a tight spell a few years ago. Batch cook a load of soups of stews with lentils and beans. Freeze and reheat.

We stopped shopping at the COOP as your bonus points money if not claimed by the end of December - they just disappear no statement of where the cash off your members card went - plus it's so expensive in there .....

Use before the end of December - check on line - they shafted me 2 years ago even just after the covid year too - read the small print I was told by them .....
Never used them since .....

Aldi does the best meat, the 2kg chicken fillets are massive and not pumped full of water.

Morrisons butchers are just as good.

Use them next shop - their terms & conditions on such a card varies from Coop store to store, we lost over £30 as we did not claim them in 12 months .....our Coop is Jan - End of December - the food is well overpriced too .....

Cheers Joey. I just had a look online and it only says they can cancel your card if you don't use it for 12 months.

It is certainly over priced as you say, but very convenient for us if we run out of bread/milk etc. as it's literally a hundred yards away.
