Great idea for a thread. Best advice I can give is just don't shop at the co-op. Utter rip off that place. Use supermarkets instead of 'express' hopes as best you can, it's always a little cheaper. If you don't shop at Aldi or Lidl for your main shop then you're just wasting money. 4 fresh smoked mackerel fillets for 2 quid is a bargain in the Aldi. Avoid pre-prepared stuff when it comes to veg, always over charges for less volume. Convenient to buy pre chopped carrots? It's your own fault. Cooking is a joy and it gets you out of the way for a bit.

Morrisons don't buy the pies from the bakery their full of offal ears and arseholes
Asda the alarm always goes off when you buy meat in there twice on the bounce for me never again
Iceland used to be cheap not anymore

If you have a nectar card you can get 50% off a leg of lamb at Sainsbury's, around 15 quid. Bought two this morning, a bargain.
