Finally bought this last week.

Just finished my first season, lost both the League Cup and Europa League finals on penalties after dominating both matches. FFS. Finished 5th in the league too. Most frustrating season ever. Decent I suppose for a first season on a new FM, but still disappointing because of the way in which we bottled everything. Bough Ayew, Lacazette, Dragovic and offloaded all of the deadwood.

Mirallas got on my tits, had to make him train with the kids and everything. Will probably leave on a free now at the end of his contract, he's still boss even when he's pissed off at me. Ridiculous the amount of moaning players you get.
 
How do i get more players to appear on the transfer/loan lists ? im sure there are tons of players available in other clubs around the world but it only ever seems to show clubs locally. Is the amount of people on the list related to how vast your scouting network is ?

Once I get my tactics, etc. sorted out I just hit continue all the time until the next match TBH.

Can't be arsed with all the faffing about

You can just do "Ask assistant for advice" which sets the focus for everyone individually then you can tweak it if you want to...

I'd suggest you never do that - assistants are idiots and set players to absolutely different roles to what you play people as, even if they've got amazing stats and all that. Just spend those extra 5 minutes or less to set the players yourself...

That's fine if you're playing as a team like Everton (i.e. when you know the players) but if I'm playing as, say, Plymouth Argyle, I can't be bothered tbh!!

Well, assuming you're gonna actually take a look at the players to find where you wanna play them - it's not that hard... "oh, Smith plays as a winger, attack, train him as a winger, attack", etc
