Aspiazu?!IAN WOAN LEAVES THE CLUB
After being hired by former manager Sean Dyche, Ian Woan has left the club after his contract expired. Ferguson brought in Jon Aspiazu as his number two. Aspiazu has been out of work since being released by Lille in December 2024. He spent 12 months at Lille as Assistant Manager to Jose Luis Mendilibar but when Mendilibar was sacked, Aspiazu also lost his role as Assistant Manager. Aspiazu has a strong record as Assistant Manager throughout Spain with clubs like Athletic Bilbao, Espanyol, Villareal, Valencia and Barcelona; number two to Ernesto Valverde.
DF: Jon has a rich history throughout Europe and has worked with some of the best footballers in world football, it's an honour to bring him here as he understands my philosophy and what we are trying to do at Everton. We want to play an attacking style, in style and I'm interested to see some of Jon's ideas.

Lazar and Gonzo are gonna tear this league a new one! Has there ever been a better more competent, imaginative and inspirational chairman than Moshiri.TRANSFER WINDOW UPDATE
After the sales of McNeil and Tarkowski and an injection of cash from Farhad Moshiri, Everton finally got round to doing some incoming transfer business, the trio of Ferguson, Aspiazo and Thelwell looking like a dream team. The first piece of business was the signing of Lazar Samardzic from Udinese for a total fee of £43M. The 23 year old Serbian midfielder spent the last four seasons at Serie A club Udinese and has developed into a very calm and composed Central Midfielder who can score from distance. He is also deadly from free-kicks and is known to get a few goals.
"When you see players like James Rodriguez at a club like Everton, you know it's the right move" stated Samardzic.

DF: Lazar will bring further creativity to our midfield and he is also an all-rounder so is not afraid to get in and work for the ball.
It was a huge day for Everton as they also announced the signing of winger Nicolas Gonzales! Signing for an initial fee of £61M he becomes Everton's most expensive ever signing and that brings huge expectation to the club. The 27 year old joins on a 4 year contract and could be one of Everton's most exciting signings yet. Real Madrid were also interested in acquiring his services but no bid was made and Everton pulled out all the stops to bring in the dynamic winger.
"Coming to the Premier League is my biggest challenge yet and something I have always wanted to conquer. I will give it my all to make a name for myself and for Everton Football Club. I can't wait to show the supporters what I can do."
DF: We worked tirelessly to bring Nicolas here, it wasn't an easy transfer and it comes with huge risk. It's our biggest signing and we know as a club we have to go out and perform. The Premier League is not easy to adjust to and it's my job to get him up and running as quickly as possible.
