Frank Lampard is a useless manager

I could definitely see Chelsea giving Lampard the job until the end of the season. I think if they can’t get anyone in then they’ll go with him and hope the excitement of it all can get them a Champions League win.
I do actually think he’d do well with those players, too.
Really? If they want to get higher in the table and try to win the CL, Lampard isn't their man. An absolute nothing of a story made up by the Daily Fail, again.

The league position is a write-off for them. They could essentially bring Lampard in and hope that the team runs on passion for the CL games.
This is only if they can’t get their main target prior to the end of the season though. If their aim is to get Naglesmann for instance, but he only wants to come in at the end of the season, then I would guess Chelsea would prefer to have Lampard than this Bruno fella.

No way they are getting into CL this year. One way ticket to FFP surely? I think Lampard is a shout due to his history with the club and the general issue getting anyone decent at this time of the year. We snapped up the best manager this season, thank goodness we arent stuck with Lampard with Dyche at one of our relegation rivals!! :-)

I mean to win the CL - they play Real soon. While it’s highly unlikely they’ll proceed, financially it would be a big bonus this year and beyond.

Everyone that they are linked with/want seem to want to wait till the summer for the best choice of options. It's a daft time of the year to change a manager imo, their season isn't going to change much now, they would be better just going with the flow at the moment and getting stuck into early prep behind the scenes for next season imo.

I really don’t think there’d be any excitement over a manager that they already sacked two years ago and has failed in his only job since.

Hence why I’d suggest to just throw Lampard at it, as he’d be delighted to have a crack at the Real tie, ask for low wages, and accept that he’s gone at the end of the season.
For me they have 10% chance of getting through with Saltor and possibly a 20% chance with Lampard simply due to the infernal atmosphere it would create at Stamford Bridge.
Would personally be very surprised if they don’t do that, if they can’t get their actual target until season end.

And as I’ve said I think Lampard does well with those players, at least on a short term basis. He is just absolutely not a manager who can cope with players like ours.

Chelsea fans love the man and if they could choose between Lampard or Saltor until the end of the season, I think you’d see the vast majority thirsting for him to have a crack at Real.

Picture it like this…. If Dyche was doing awfully and got sacked, would we rather Dyche’s backup man manage us for 9 meaningless game plus an FA Cup semi final, or prefer a recent club legend (not that we really have any) who has shown some level of management aptitude with skilful players to come in and have a free hit

How I would laugh to see a Fatman and Robin double act of the fsw and Frank at Chelsea until the end of the season.

I was one of the ones who initially overreacted to this. In terms of man management and squad morale, telling a player they're gash and can't improve is probably a questionable move, but indeed it won't define Lampard's tenure.
It was crap man management.

Keane is still a walking mistake.

He actually had a decent game the other night and still made the error to cost us the goal. Thankfully made up for it.
