Frank Lampard is a useless manager

Another former manager of ours gone on to bigger and better things while we continue to rot as a club. Its almost like there's an underlying issue with Everton Football Club that keeps dragging us down that goes away beyond the manager/scapegoat.......
Yes indeed, the culture of mediocrity instilled in the club many years ago and fostered to this day by one William Kenwright CBA. It permeates through from the very top to the very bottom and has resulted in EFC becoming a graveyard for countless playing careers. Managers who come here are on a hiding to nothing as they eventually get dragged down themselves in exasperation at being unable to rid the club of this culture. You's almost feel sorry fot them if it wasn't for the massive pay off they get when they leave.

So far from what I've seen, we've dodged a bullet.

If Francis can get a tune out of him, I'll be absolutely flabbergasted!

Although, I reserve the right to change my mind, should circumstances transpire in a manner that irrevocably alters my perception in the opposite direction.

Basically what I'm trying to say is: He had world class forwards such as Rondon, Maupay and Townsend at his disposal, of which at least one of them is a future Ballon d'Or nominee and he couldn't get a tune out of them... What chance does this poor lad stand?!? 😜

You'd think this would be a perfect time for Chelsea to bring in a new permanent manager sitting in mid-table as they are. The new guy would have a chance to assess his squad with little to play for after they get knocked out of the CL by RM, and get them prepared for a fresh challenge next season.

But no, they bring a previously-failed manager as a stop gap who is either going to be replaced at the end of the season or soon into the next one meaning they will have wasted all that time. This Boehly chap seems to have a lot to learn about football.

I was just thinking about this.

Yes, they have CL, but the "new" manager is on a hiding to nothing regarding getting CL through the league and they play the CL beasts next.

It makes sense to me to give a new fella a proper transfer window and a chance to trim that massive squad.

Heard a pundit/journalist type saying they appointed potter in about 10 hrs after tuchel and they’re trying to learn from their mistakes so never intended to rush it , especially given the clubs position . However the Brighton staff weren’t keen on being temp in charge with their boss gone so a decision had to be made. I suspect the brighton fella might have had some loyalty and wanted paying to be no1 , who knows anyway that’s what was said .

I think the boy Julian has said no till the Summer myself.

A very clever man if so.

I think he soiled the bed a bit worrying that he'll appoint another massive failure.

This way if Frank screws up, he doesn't have to take any slack because it was expected.

'Plausible deniability' as it were.

I think you’re very probably right and I suspect it’s maybe also a little to do with the quality of his representatives and what that arranged in relation the detail small print in his contract regarding his pay off .
