Frank Lampard is a useless manager

I totally understand why loads do but I don’t hate him, evidence suggest he’s not very good at his current occupation but he helped heal the club after it was ripped apart by the previous appointment. Met up with him in Australia and seemed like a pretty up front and honest bloke , I certainly wish him no ill will but it’s a ‘surprising’ appointment.

Not seen hardly any hate for Lampard. Plenty dont rate him mind. Its like Martinez; both represented the club well, but are fatally flawed as PL managers.

I can see the logic in Chelsea having him in for a few months though. None of their targets fancy coming in now, apparently. Lampard wont relegate them, free hit at the CL. Write the whole season off and get a fans fave in until a proper boss is hired.

I agree with @roydo here, I've never ever met an Evertonian who actually disliked him. In fact, I think he got far more leeway than most manager we've had.

Personally, I was far too accepting or lenient with him for way too long. On a personal level, he seemed a nice bloke and that's been echoed by the players.

Yet, importantly, he just doesn't come across as a competent manager, or at least not at this level. I wish him success at Chelsea and hope he does us a favour.

However, I'll be somewhat surprised if he does because he's one of the worst managers we've had.

I can see it because he’s an easy sell to the fans , his cv is a different story Mind . Not saying he’s hated but some definitely don’t like him , my point was I’ve no axe to grind . Not being good enough isn’t a crime .

I’ve met one and read a few on here which I accept isn’t real life , to me and the huge majority of blues I know nobody wishes him Ill will .

You’re last point I completely agree with but his ‘likability ’ papered over thar crack and I think we all know people like that .

Unless your Michael Keane or Abdoulaye Doucoure !

Blokes a shyster who if Benitez had treated Keane the way Tory Boy did ya'll would have been spewing at the keyboard calling him an antagonistic bully 🤷‍♂️

Mad though because motivation and engagement with the crowd takes you so far and by all accounts he seems ok at both but when push comes to shove tactically the evidence suggests he’s poor.

But its a few months contract mate. He may well end up being a decent sounding board for the proper manager in the Summer. He is a low risk, well respected, locum for a few months. No more, no less.

Even if he flukes a CL, he will still be gone at the end of his short contract.

Again I get it on the basis he’s a hero for them , just like a lot would embrace Duncan .except they’ve won everything last few years and It’s just he won’t work for free & hasn’t pulled up Any trees .

frankly at first glance it’s a bit of an embarrassment. It smacks of an owner who’ll end up more moshiri /Kenwright than abramovitch.
