He was not a run of results like he is now, we being so bad has him questioning himself on every level to a point he can't deliver. It's not like the fans broke him, which is what usually happens, but the situation. The players, the pressure.
He should/would have been able to lift Chelsea to a win at Wolves or at home to Brighton with the players at his disposal if it hadn't of been for his time here.
Now you could say that is what happens when you are in imposter mode and finally get found out but truth is no one can be that bad to go effectively half a season without a win. Something has snapped in Frank.

At Derby and Chelsea (first time) he had Jody Morris next to him and and others. Then when he left Chelsea they split and Lampard came to us with a different team behind him. I'm still not sure that Frank himself is actually cut out for it, he needs to go back down the leagues and learn his craft a bit more imo.

It seems he just can't leave it alone... as you say, he's massively wealthy and has no need for the money. He was a world class player, but it looks like he won't rest until he's been a reasonably successful manager, and it's obviously eating him up big time. But he should really put his health first. If I were in his shoes, I'd stick to doing some punditry now and then - he's an intelligent, educated man, and a lot more interesting to listen to than the majority of useless fuds continually paraded by Sky, BBC, etc.
Of course he needs the money mate, hes got 3 or 4 kids.
He will never want for money, but hes at the stage now were he wants his kids and their kids to never want for money.
