Frank Lampard possible next manager

I could live with Lampard or Rooney, if the choice between the two of them was mine I'd probably go for Lampard, but, if we stay away from Martinez, Allardyce, Mourinho, Nuno and of course Benitez, I will be more than happy to give any of the other managers a chance, they really can't be as divisive or incompetent as our last manager.

He wouldn’t be my first choice, but my top choices more than likely wouldn’t come to us.

Anyway, I posted this in the manager thread yesterday:

The upside of going for someone like lampard is, he might not be the manager we want right now, but he’s got plenty of room to grow and learn from his mistakes if we’re patient.
He was never getting that at Chelsea.

Would much rather someone a bit more exciting, but it’s slim pickings at the minute.
I’d take a young up and comer any day of the week over one of the usuals off the manager merry-go-round.

The same argument could be used for either Ferguson or Rooney, too. But, Lampard strikes me as someone with a bit more between the ears and someone I’d imagine is a quick learner.

I’ve warmed to the idea of Lampard. Think he’d foster youth and find a good balance. Is there anything substantial to this or just another poll because he’s seemingly available?
