I think I've explained this before, many times. I knew that appointment had no chance of working and I'm not going to support something that will not help the club succeed.

With other appointments I've been sceptical, but they weren't reds legends, so there was a bit of doubt and it could have worked.

I've only been entirely sure over a managerial appointment once in my twenty-five years and counting as a blue, Carlo Ancelotti.

However, Frank Lampard has earned my faith, and I do believe in his ability to move us forward.

So far in his managerial career:

- Tasked with taking a Derby County side to play offs on the back of key player losses and a limited budget, achieved.

- Tasked with getting a Chelsea in disarray with a transfer ban Champions League football having lost Eden Hazard, achieved.

- Tasked with taking an Everton in freefall and civil war, to a united front that maintains its Premier league status, despite every other 'big club' in that scenario historically slipping into the abyss, achieved.

So, by that coin I have faith that we should task Frank with guiding Everton to BMD playing some form of European football.

That would be next season to stabilise and trying to set a way of playing, and then building on that to try achieving a top 7 finish in 23/24.

Patience on a two year plan is desperately needed. Next season may not be all rosy, but it could build to the bigger picture, European football at BMD.

Going to have give him time. We aren't going to become a good team over night. Next season I want progress, not involved in the relegation dog fight. More solid at the back and playing a nicer brand of football. But I don't expect any higher than 10th.

For our part, we have to stop calling for the manages head every time, we have a poor run. This is going to take years to sort.

I, too, was happy with Carlo's appointment but v disappointed with how it ended. Perhaps an indication of where we are positioned in Football's hierarchy.

I also think that we have further cause to be optimistic given the quality of his coaching team. This will be further strengthened if we successfully bring in Anthony Barry(Ex Blue) from Chelsea who I understand is a set piece specialist.
I have also noticed both Paul Clement and Ashley Cole seem to have massively bought into being a blue which will help with culture/morale issues.

It may be the defenders we have. With new options he may tighten us up at the back. Chelsea were a bit leaky though under him.

I'm more disappointed that the contract he signed must have had a Real Madrid release clause. Moshiri must be held responsible for signing a manager who always had his eye on the La Liga scores.

Just being realistic, we just finished 16th. There isn't going to be a rush to join Everton. Not to mention money is going to tight

I don't think league position has that much of an impact now, outside of the top tier players. As long as the money is there, most players will sign for any premier League team.
