2021/22 Frank Lampard

This whole "we need to do SOMETHING" under Frank is pretty gone imo. We just need to stay up and show progress under him. I don't care where we finish as long as it's 17th and better (tho I REALLY hope we're nowhere near that obviously).
We need to survive until the new stadium while the three year rolling losses unwind.

That’s when the reset starts.

Questions about Frank being the right man or not will be open for debate for a while. The the main thing for me is, bar a disaster run like we had this season under Benitez he must be kept at the helm. Even if this season we finish anywhere from 10th- 14th. This season is going to be a struggle again, i just hope not as bad of a struggle as this season. He need 3 years minimum to sort the club out. Mentality being the big one. He has a got a coaching team who are winners. This summer is the start of a change I hope. If he takes us into Bramley Moore, he has done a good job, which I pray he does.
It largely depends on how he does us how he can improve the shower that we have, and has done of sorts. But also, who he brings in and whether the improvement is tandem. His own ethos and buying the players that fit into that.

I've only been entirely sure over a managerial appointment once in my twenty-five years and counting as a blue, Carlo Ancelotti.

However, Frank Lampard has earned my faith, and I do believe in his ability to move us forward.

So far in his managerial career:

- Tasked with taking a Derby County side to play offs on the back of key player losses and a limited budget, achieved.

- Tasked with getting a Chelsea in disarray with a transfer ban Champions League football having lost Eden Hazard, achieved.

- Tasked with taking an Everton in freefall and civil war, to a united front that maintains its Premier league status, despite every other 'big club' in that scenario historically slipping into the abyss, achieved.

So, by that coin I have faith that we should task Frank with guiding Everton to BMD playing some form of European football.

That would be next season to stabilise and trying to set a way of playing, and then building on that to try achieving a top 7 finish in 23/24.

Patience on a two year plan is desperately needed. Next season may not be all rosy, but it could build to the bigger picture, European football at BMD.
I like this post as much as I dislike your username ?
Very well said

Something Frank and team need to sort out is fitness of the squad. We have had terrible injury and fitness issues for years it constantly hampers us. This year was probably the worst.

That's why I think it's a bigger issue than just being unlucky with injuries. Thelwell needs to take a detailed look at what is going on in the medical/fitness set up, as it stinks that something isn't right.

To what extent though is some players are targeted by opposition players? We’ve seen horrific injuries on Everton players without much sanction yet the one time we do something similar it’s like we’d assassinated a president.

I sadly agree. I watch Everton obviously. But i'll watch other clubs games if they're on. Im concerned how far we have slipped. We're a very poor side. At the end of the season it was all grit and fighting hard with very little quality. I see mid table sides in this division playing better football.
My main gripe is midfield. Its terrible. On the days grit and fighting isnt working there is virtually nothing else on offer.
For lampard or anyone else for that matter the turn around in personel is huge. Minimum 2/3 years aswell in reality.

Palace are definitely doing something right there...10 injuries 401 days(Have to presume that doesn't include Ferguson who has been out for years now and has passed into legend)

the red media or `shithouse gutter press` as they are formally known, call out any and every Everton transgression. our cousins over the park seem to be treated stunningly opposite. funny old game Saint. #GoEvertonSoccer
