I think after a full pre-season, we hopefully will see a different style of play but we need signings, i wish we would get stuff done before they report back, so much easier to integrate people and get them all on the same page.

Need a forward and midfielder for me, I'd even go as far as a new centre back, quite happily see the back of all of ours the amount of errors leading to goals they accumulate but a competent anchor in midfield would help with that massively.

Haven't had time to read that piece, but sure he is more than aware of the importance of getting recruitment right, in both quality and quantity, in the next few weeks.

No but seriously, I'm in pre-season optimism, that one comment he made when he joined 'Enjoy the ball' - i hope he brings some fun and energy and style to the club with a full pre-season. Even if we have 3-4 changes in personnel, The core players who are there for the whole season are there now - I guess apart from Coleman, Pickford and Patterson - so he should have time to work on them.

It's a different financial year now. But I do not know if our position has improved enough for us to spend.

They will be in a different year of the accounts, plus we can spread payments out into the following financial years.

Exactly right that. I think he definitely wants to play a different style but the way it's going at the moment we will need to be playing similarly to how we finished if the squad doesn't get a level of overhaul. This next 4/5 weeks are extremely important for us and we need to be making those squad changes now and not doing the usual and waiting till the very end of the transfer window.

I guess its Gallagher, his tackle rate is above average and better than any of our current midfielders (not hard i know) but its hardly making the best of his game/qualities.

If Moshiri pokes his nose in and tries to sign anyone, Lampard and Thelwell should walk and so should any manager that follows until the owner sods off.

Won't happen obviously, I just wish there was a way to let him know it's unacceptable to treat a Premier League club like a game of football manager.
