Just utter context-devoid drivel this.
There's context to literally everything.

Was Frank a good manager at Derby because he almost got them promoted, or a bad one because he didn't really do any better than the previous guy even though he had Mount & Tomori?

Did Frank do a good job navigating a transfer ban at Chelsea delivering top 4, or could any half decent manager do that with their squad?

I'm behind Frank all the way and thought he did a good job keeping a bunch of demoralized underperformers in the league, but if he walked away tomorrow, what would be the thought process of an owner considering hiring him - and what club would they be? Norwich or Barcelona? How would they judge him and what would they judge him on?

Seems pretty fair to me to say it's hard to pinpoint exactly where Frank's level is yet.

I don’t know or care about any of that, but he did a good job to keep us up last season after the previous manager had us plummeting from top half to the cusp of the relegation zone.

Agreed, but my comment was in relation to the hypothetical scenario someone had said about Frank walking (ie. the things any next owner wanting to hire him WOULD care about). I agreed with another poster who said it would be career suicide because there's no accurate barometer of Frank's level yet IMO. Who would head hunt him next, if anyone?!

I like him, I think there's something there, would love for him to be a success, be here long term and do not believe in a month of sundays he'd quit a job as a Prem manager considering he wants to be one so much; but as it stands, whose to say what his level really is. That was my point.

Think he just meant the 16th to 16th part...you're both correct in my eyes. Lampard's track record is so-so thus far in his managerial career, and he's obviously been handed initial top flight opportunities because of his playing career. But the 16th to 16th part is what you read in every single comments section of every single article about Everton by opposing fans, to the point that it's become trendy to use that to question his accomplishment as a manager in keeping us in what was truly a hopeless situation. It's a context-less point and doesn't represent a negative mark against Lampard due to the context. There are certainly decisions he made last season that are fodder for questioning him, but our final premier league position last season is not one.

So backing the owner who has shown himself to be an utter clown = Good
Backing the manager = Bad

Backing doesn't equal hyping up.

I back Moshiri but I'll happily state on the balance of things he hasn't been overall a success here.

Likewise I like Lampard but lets be honest his CV is bare and his PPG and record here nothing special.

Talk of him walking away from us is ludicrous - no top club would be taking him on like Carlo.

Well, we will all have an answer to every question sometime between now and May.

The talk of him walking away is a bit silly, he knew what club he was joining, our financial limitations would have been discussed in his interview and if they werent, hes not living under a rock, so he should be very aware.

As I said, despite the memes, im very certain that Mr T and Franky L are working on ins and outs hourly.

The problem with Lampard is he’s not Scottish
get him drunk on Iron Bru, slip him a deep fried mars bar or two, and with a bit of luck, he'll be snapping up the two Billies (Gilmour and Connolly) quicker than you can yell "FREEDOMMM!" ?

(We can only dream...)

Ok maybe I’m a bit old fashioned but a lot of these “modern” managers. Well I get the impression that they’re too “nice”. They don’t have the personality to lead a group of men. Although therein lies the problem a lot of modern” footballers” seem like manchilds.
As far as his brain go, does he have a good enough football brain, I’m not sure. I haven’t watched enough of him or his teams to give an honest answer.
