2021/22 Frank Lampard

Would be utter madness to change Manager again. We need to back Frank and hope for the best, at least in the short to medium term. He hasn't even had a full season yet. At least now he's got a preseason under his belt. The friendly match results are not important.

For all the talk of how Lampard is unhappy let’s not forget it was him who wanted Dele in January and the club backed him and managed to get him on a deal that deferred possible payment til this season, and then he didn’t start him til the last game of the season. So now that money has to be budgeted for this season meaning effectively Lampard has already spent at least ten million of this season’s budget on a punt.

We have no way of knowing if Lampard wanted Dele.

Both Neil Warnock and Andy Gray coming out of the woodwork to have a pop at Lampard today. There does seem to be a bit of an obsession with him hey. I’ve noticed a lot of fans from lots of different clubs really think he’s a poor manager.

I am not sure who at the club would surrently be spending their time looking for a Lampard replacement. Thelwell? I think not, Bill? really? Moshiri - track record? They are all too slow to pull the trigger on anything let alone replacing a manager...

No chance on earth that deal wasn't already pretty much agreed by the time Lampard signed and it was a case of 'you want him or nobody?'

Everton don't don't do deals fast

A lot of fans seem to have issue with him not winning the league or CL with Chelsea. Tuchel coming in and finishing the job didn't help. He did have them in it though, despite the transfer ban. I like him anyway and he has credit in the bank for a while as far as I'm concerned. Deserves a few windows

Once we are up and running and a few games in to the season Frank will have had a half season in control, a full summer transfer window to do business, and a full pre-season, let's be clear, this is now his team, his system, and his responsibility, there is no hiding behind excuses of 'past managers' anymore he has to own it going forward.

“We did it”
Yeah, he isn't going to come out the day he is hired as manager and say it was done without him being part of it. But the intricacy of the deal took longer than the few hours lampard was manager before it was announced. It was done by Bill and his mate Levy.

I'll see what my missus says when I send her out shopping with no money.

I think Frank may jib it off if there's no movement on transfers soon.

People saying it won't do his stock any good are a bit off key, most can see what a mess we are in top to bottom and may actually think he's doing the right thing.

Genuinely fear for the club.

Didnt we get all this noise with Moyes in summer? Then he'd bring in a few on deadline day and we would kick on.
