Who is 'they' though? I've said this before but people always talk about it as if we have the same team that Martinez had but it's totally different. We've got 11 players (not including kids or back up keepers) who have been signed since the start of last season, then there's Gordon, Branthwaite, Dobbin etc in the squad too.

It also feels like people always change the definition of pressure games to suit the argument.

Agree, Frank is a ‘young’ up and coming manager with new ideas, credibility with players and has brought a positive approach to the club.
The previous manager didn’t.
He was out of date and was negative in all that was seen.

The thing that might give him false confidence is Europe is completely out of the picture now and once we are away from relegation they may well but a very impressive run together as we have notoriously done when there is no pressure of achieving anything.

He might get a shock next season when the pressure is on.

I thought the issue was once the pressure was off the players went on holiday and stopped turning in performances, like the end of martinez reign etc

Assuming we stay up then I hope someone sits Moshiri down and has a word with him about expectations for next season. Even if we keep hold of Richy and DCL, the team will need significant investment in the midfield and CB areas to stand a chance of pushing for Europe. Ideally we could do with a good backup striker to push DCL as well. If that can’t be done this summer due to financial rules then people shouldn’t get too worked up if we’re floating about 10th or 11th next season imo.

I think we lose one or both of Richy and DCL in the summer and Lampards goes on a major rebuild with the cash. there is no way we start next season with the pronblems this squad has and hope to do better.
