I think the best thing with Lampard so far is there's been a noticeable upturn in form from some of our most out of form and worst players. Iwobi, Coleman, Kenny and Holgate today were class. He's our first real man manager since Moyes, Martinez would do it but it'd be lies, Carlo could motivate top class players not mid table ones. Lampard seems to be able to connect with these lads, especially the ones who are young enough to grow up seeing him play. We only need 6 more wins this season and I'll genuinely be happy so I'm more than happy for him to get 40 points and experiment and start building a team and identity.
Like he said himself it's not a magic wand to fix it or anything but I believe if he's given the time and resources he could be our first "non catastrophic failure waiting to happen" of a manager since Moyes, Carlo would've done something with us too but he was never gonna stay when the likes of Madrid would still employ him and who could blame him really. More than happy to let Lampard build stability over years and make a team in his image rather than this nonsense of having to change the manager every year or two.
